  • Patent number: 9382939
Abstract: A linkless attachment for use with snap-hooks or similar devices. Snap-hooks typically include a locking mechanism and release mechanism requiring the simultaneous depression of interacting grips. The keeper grip member of the hook apparatus functions in a dual-purpose capacity. It forms the eye of the hook loop, and it functions as one of the grip members of the release mechanism. Further, the body member features an open attachment loop terminating in a slot, whereby various attachment devices may interchangeably be added to the novel linkless snap-hook at the time of its assembly.

  • Publication number: 20150096154
Abstract: A snap hook essentially including a main body having an arcuate portion that transition between a spine and a gate latching end, wherein the interior edges of the arcuate portion are radiused. The snap-hook further includes a gate that is pivotally attached to the main body, and a lock that pivotally mounts to the main body and in securing relation to the gate to prevent the gate from opening unless and until the lock is manually, pivotally moved by depressing on its end. The gate latching end of the main body includes a notch for receiving the end of the gate wherein the notch includes an inwardly directed upper, extension piece that will engage the end of the gate if it is inadvertently pushed towards an open position.

  • Patent number: 8544603
Abstract: A fall restriction apparatus for climbers of wooden poles having a connecting component with at least a first bight portion adapted for connection to and retention within a center opening of a three slot-opening D-ring. The connecting component is sized so that when inserted within the central opening, it is restrained from rotating. The connecting component may have outwardly directed protrusions on at least its spine region. The affixed D-ring shape typically lies in a major plane orthogonal to a plane in which the remainder of the connecting component lies. Alternately, connecting component may be attached to other openings of the three-opening D-ring. The fall restriction apparatus also contains a buckle assembly which may have one or more cleats disposed on a rear surface to facilitate gripping a wooden pole.
