Abstract: Data indicative of a request to allocate an additional bandwidth amount to a subscriber line of a plurality of subscriber lines assigned to a network device is received. A sum of the additional bandwidth amount and an aggregate bandwidth amount that is currently allocated to the plurality of subscriber lines is determined to exceed a maximum bandwidth capacity of the network device. At least one criterion is evaluated to determine a value metric for each of the plurality of subscriber lines. A candidate subscriber line of the plurality of subscriber lines to de-assign from the network device based at least in part on the value metric for the candidate subscriber line and a current bandwidth allocated to the candidate subscriber line is identified.

Abstract: Assistance data specifications and protocols for navigation systems in cellular networks and/or other networks. These specifications and protocols do not impact system-specific control plane protocols. According to various embodiments, a bearer and satellite system-independent meta structure may be protected for periodic and/or continuous transfer, e.g., streaming, of assistance data in a network. As a result, the need for the arrangement of multiple individual sub sessions may be reduced or eliminated in various embodiments.
