Abstract: An orthopedic instrument system that includes a burr and a burr guide. The burr guide includes an elongated opening, in which at least a portion of the elongated opening includes a substantially circular opening having a greater dimension than that of the adjacent portion of the elongated opening. The circular opening is configured to receive at least a portion of the burr therein and therethrough such that the burr may be manipulated along the length of the elongated opening. The burr has a shaft and a first end opposite a second end with the first end being configured to facilitate being releasably coupled to a tool. The second end of the burr has an engagement feature that is configured to cut and/or resurface a bone surface. A method of using the orthopedic instrument system is also disclosed herein.
