Upon receiving a search query from a user, the methods and systems can dynamically match entities based on the received query and the strengths to provide a response to the received search query.

Abstract: The invention automatically controls whether displayed web pages and associated frames displayed within a web browser are secure or non-secure. A dynamic “Web Component” remotely controls web page security states. The Web Component uses the same script and HTML for all implementations or instantiations of the Web Component, regardless of how many unique clients make use of the Web Component. This code reuse is accomplished using entry web pages, or “entry points,” to set the value of function properties or parameters of the Web Component for dynamically and controlling the security state of a web page having at least two frames. The script and/or HTML source code of the Web Component pages does not change based on each new implementation or instantiation. Consequently, little setup work is required for each implementation, and only a basic verification test pass is needed for each unique automatically customized Internet web page.

Abstract: A system and related techniques generate and maintain a unified product index, to perform searching and browsing in an online product, service, content or information catalog. A user investigating, for example, a set of retail offerings of digital cameras may for instance browse through a Web site layout or taxonomy to locate products of interest, such as cameras having resolution in the range of 3-4 megapixels or in the price range of $200-300. Alternatively, the user may input search terms in a search dialogue box to locate those or other features. Unlike conventional e-commerce platforms in which search may be performed against structured databases while browsing may access unstructured HTML or other descriptive material, according to the invention navigation and searching may be integrated and both access a structured index derived from product descriptions as well as traditional SQL or other structured data.
