  • Patent number: 7951991
Abstract: The invention provides polynucleotides encoding plant prenyl protease polypeptides, vectors, host cells, and transgenic plant comprising the polynucleotides. The invention also provides methods of producing transgenic plants that have altered levels of prenyl protease polynucleotides and polypeptides, and transgenic plants that have increased tolerance to an environmental stress as compared to a wild type plant.

  • Publication number: 20030204865
Abstract: The present invention provides novel isolated prenyl protease polynucleotides and polypeptides encoded by the prenyl protease polynucleotides. Also provided are the antibodies that immunospecifically bind to a prenyl protease polypeptide or any derivative, variant, mutant or fragment of the prenyl protease polypeptide, polynucleotide or antibody. The invention additionally provides methods of constructing transgenic plants that have altered levels of prenyl protease polynucleotides and polypeptides. Methods for identifying prenyl protease enzymes substrates and inhibitors are also provided.
