Abstract: An immersion cooling tank comprises: a dielectric liquid disposed within a lower volume of the tank; at least one electronic equipment immersed within the dielectric liquid and which requires electrical power to operate; and at least one power distribution unit and/or a bus bar distribution system submerged beneath a surface of the dielectric liquid and providing electrical power to the at least one electronic equipment. The immersion cooling tank further includes a condenser located vertically above the dielectric fluid and the at least one electronic equipment, and through which is flowing a condensation fluid that has a lower density than the dielectric liquid. A leak of the condensation fluid into the tank volume results in the condensation fluid floating atop the dielectric liquid and prevents the condensation liquid from coming into contact with the power distribution unit. The bus bar distribution system enables blind mating of inserted electronic components.

Abstract: An information handling system converts from a closed position to a tablet position by rotating a lid with a display 360 degrees about a hinge having synchronized and continuous motion. The hinge has first and second axles held distal by a spacer. A synchronizer translates motion of each axle to the other to provide fluid movement of the lid relative to the housing. For instance, first and second cables translate rotational motion with the disposition of a discontinuous figure eight between the first and second axles.

Abstract: In an information handling system (IHS), remote management of basic input/output system (BIOS) settings and configuration includes maintaining a BIOS setting/configuration database, providing an application to communicate a BIOS setting/configuration from the database to a BIOS system, determining whether the BIOS setting/configuration communicated from the database to the BIOS system is a special BIOS configuration capsule packet, and validating BIOS setting/configuration.

Abstract: A communication system includes a storage operable to host an operating system and a management controller configured to directly communicate with the operating system. The management controller directly communicates with the operating system through a communication channel free of an intermediate agent. The management controller is operable to asynchronously send management information to the operating system over the communication channel. The management controller is also operable to asynchronously receive management information from the operating system over the communication channel.

Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for providing categorical analysis of user interactions within a social media environment. Social media interactions are monitored, collected, and processed to generate social network advocacy (SNA) analyses, which are in turn processed to categorize associated SNA data into predetermined SNA categories. Analysis operations are then performed on the resulting categorized SNA data to generate an SNA value for each of the SNA categories, along with associated statistical analyses, which are then used to provide the basis for proactive marketing response responses within one or more social media environments.

Abstract: A memory system includes a first memory module and a second memory module. A memory controller is coupled to the first and second memory modules and reads configuration information from the first and second memory modules using a memory channel. The controller also configures a switch coupled between the controller and one of the memory modules to communicate using either a chip select line or a memory address line.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for efficiently detecting segments for deduplication. Data is analyzed to determine file types and file components. File types such as images may have optimal data segment boundaries set at the file boundaries. Other file types such as container files are delayered to extract objects to set optimal data segment boundaries based on file type or based on the boundaries of the individual objects. Storage of unnecessary information is minimized in a deduplication dictionary while allowing for effective deduplication.

Abstract: Techniques and mechanisms are provided to instantly clone active files including active optimized files. When a new instance of an active file is created, a new stub is generated in the user namespace and a block map file is cloned. The block map file includes the same offsets and location pointers that existed in the original block map file. No user file data needs to be copied. If the cloned file is later modified, the behavior can be same as what happens when a de-duplicated file is modified.

Abstract: A demand based power re-allocation system includes one or more subsystems to assign a power allocation level to a plurality of servers, wherein the power allocation level is assigned by priority of the server. The system may throttle power for one or more of the plurality of servers approaching the power allocation level, wherein throttling includes limiting performance of a processor, track server power throttling for the plurality of servers. The method compares power throttling for a first server with power throttling for remaining servers in the plurality of servers and adjusts throttling of the plurality of servers, wherein throttled servers receive excess power from unthrottled servers.

Abstract: A system for pre-boot authentication of a virtual appliance includes one or more subsystems to receive a command to power-on an information handling system (IHS). After receiving the command to power-on the IHS, the system initializes a power-on self test (POST), passes control of the IHS to a hypervisor, loads a concurrent service environment (CSE), requests user credentials, receives user credentials, authenticates user credentials using the CSE and authorizes a specific operating system image from a plurality of images to run on the IHS via the virtual appliance after the user credentials are authenticated.

Abstract: A credential caching system includes receiving a set of authentication credentials, storing the set of authentication credentials in a credential cache memory, wherein the credential cache memory is coupled with a management controller, and supplying the set of authentication credentials for automatic authentication during a reset or reboot. In the event of a security breach, the credential caching system clears the set of authentication credentials from the credential cache memory so that the set of authentication credentials may no longer be used for a reset or reboot.

Abstract: A component loading system includes a board having a socket. A first base member is secured to the board through a plurality of first heat dissipater coupling posts. A first securing member is moveably coupled to the first base member. A second base member is secured to the board through a plurality of second heat dissipater coupling posts. A second securing member is moveably coupled to the second base member. A loading member is moveably coupled to the first base member. A heat dissipater is operable to be coupled to the plurality of first heat dissipater coupling posts and the plurality of second heat dissipater coupling posts. The loading member is operable to be secured to the board by moving the first securing member into engagement with the second base member and moving the second securing member into engagement with the first base member.
