  • Patent number: 10746913
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a lighting device, comprising the steps of: (a) weaving a fabric comprising warp and weft yarns that form the core of the fabric, weft- or warp-woven optical fibres within the fabric, said optical fibres being formed by a core and a sheath surrounding the core, and binding yarns forming part of the warp or weft yarns, maintaining the optical fibres inside the fabric; (b) treating the surface of the fabric comprising the binding yarns in order to form surface modifications on the surface of the fibres; (c) removing the optical fibres fully from the treated textile; and (d) inserting a portion of the fibres, grouped together in a bundle, into a translucent casing.

  • Publication number: 20200209019
Abstract: Detection system for generating an electrical signal representative of a variation in light intensity, including a textile element having a first group of optical fibres including on their peripheral surface alterations allowing light to be captured laterally in at least one capturing zone of the textile element, the optical fibres of the first group being grouped together into at least one bundle on at least one border of the textile element, and at least one photosensitive element arranged facing at least one end of at least one bundle of optical fibres of the first group and allowing an electrical signal to be generated depending on the variation in light intensity captured laterally by the optical fibres in the capturing zone of the textile web.

  • Patent number: 10618465
Abstract: A vehicle, in particular road vehicle, luminous glazing unit includes a laminated glazing unit and a first light source at the periphery of the glazing unit, a luminous woven textile including warp yarns, weft yarns and optical fibers, the optical fibers being capable of emitting light sideways, the optical fibers protruding from a first edge face of the laminated glazing unit, and the light source is connected to the first free ends of the optical fibers. The woven textile has openings between the warp yarns, the weft yarns and the optical fibers, lets a fraction of the solar radiation through via the openings and has a clarity C of at least 75%. The luminous woven textile is in optical contact with the faces F2 and F3 of the glass panes of the laminated glazing unit.

  • Publication number: 20180341052
Abstract: A system for injecting light, includes an optical coupler having: a lens having a convex entrance face of radial extent R1, a convex central exit face and a peripheral exit face; a cavity, containing the entrance face and with an entrance lateral surface; and a peripheral reflective surface, encircling the lens and the cavity, extending beyond the entrance face; an optical collector, with an entrance, a collecting surface facing the central exit face, and a numerical aperture NA smaller than 1, the collector including a jacket having an end surface; and a member for aligning the optical collector, the optical coupler and the aligning member being integrally formed or being indirectly or directly fastened together, the central distance eF on the axis Oz between the collecting surface and the central exit face being nonzero and smaller than 5 mm, and the system including a stop for the end surface.
