  • Publication number: 20220410847
Abstract: A device for dispensing liquid onto a target area of a vehicle surface is described, and includes a mixing valve that is in communication with a pressurized fluidic supply system via a fluidic distribution system, and a controller. The mixing valve includes an outlet orifice that is disposed proximal to the target area, and the mixing valve includes first and second valve conduits that are fluidly connected to the outlet orifice via a mixing portion. The first valve conduit includes a first control valve, and the second valve conduit includes a second control valve. The fluidic distribution system includes a first fluidic conduit and a second fluidic conduit. The controller is operatively connected to the fluidic supply system, and the first and second control valves.

  • Publication number: 20210402961
Abstract: An automated fluid dispensing system, apparatus and method may be configured to automatically clean one or more vision-based surfaces. The system may include a hardware controller, a plurality of sensors, manifold ports, a plurality of pressure supply lines, first, second, and third fluid sources, a compressed air source, first, second, and third valves, a nozzle array, or a combination thereof. The controller may be in communication with a plurality of sensors and be configured to receive and adapt to one or more environmental and vision conditions of the one or more vision-based surfaces. The system may include an automatic response system to provide adaptive operations in response to the information herein such as internal and external parameters and operate under one or multiple pulse-width modulation (PWM) dispensing sequences in response to a determined condition (e.g., contamination state or level) associated with one or more vision-based surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20050044946
Abstract: The relative speed of each of the tires of a vehicle is monitored as an indication of the operating state of the vehicle, wherein if the vehicle is not operating in one of a number of predetermined states, the relative speed is monitored as an indication of relative pressure of the vehicle tires, and further wherein differences in relative speed not related to the predetermined states, and not related to differences in relative pressure, are accounted for. In addition, a single tire pressure sensor is employed to account for over or under inflation of substantially equal proportion in the tires.

  • Publication number: 20020100649
Abstract: A vehicle suspension damper configured to be arranged between a wheel assembly and a body of a vehicle is provided that includes a cylindrical reservoir tube with a piston mounted for reciprocating movement within the reservoir tube. A piston rod is connected to the piston and extending axially therefrom and through one end of the reservoir tube. An annular rod guide assembly surrounds the piston rod and includes a magnetic portion. A non-magnetic dust tube is disposed around the reservoir tube, the dust tube being operatively connected to the piston rod. A generally longitudinal sensor housing is formed in the dust tube adjacent the magnetic portion and a linear sensor is disposed in the sensor housing adapted to detect the position of the magnetic portion.

  • Patent number: 5453676
Abstract: A neural network provides automatic control of a windshield wiper. A rain sensor generates sensing signals indicating a rain pattern, and the neural network generates wiping demand signals indicating a wiping action desired by the driver. A training unit uses manually generated wiping supervision signals to create weight factors for the neural network.
