  • Patent number: 9119135
Abstract: A user terminal receives at least one signal with information depending on a location of the user terminal. The user terminal processes the at least one signal for providing data related to the location while it is in a cell of an accessible private base station and saves the data as a reference data. After that, the user terminal receives at least one signal with information depending on the location of the user terminal and a broadcast from a private base station. The user terminal processes the at least one signal for providing data related to a location of the user terminal and compares the data and a reference data with each other. The controller enables a contact to the private base station if the data and the reference data match each other and, otherwise, disables a contact to the private base station.

  • Patent number: 8983450
Abstract: In a radio communication system, a first network-based radio station transmits information destined for a plurality of subscriber stations. A second network-based radio station transmits messages destined for individual subscriber stations and the second network-based radio station receives by radio the information transmitted by the first network-based radio station and transmits the same.

  • Patent number: 8929283
Abstract: A controller of a private base station receives data on a travel time depending on a propagation delay between a private base station and a user terminal. The controller outputs a control signal to a controllable amplifier for decreasing a transmission power of the private base station if the measured travel time is longer than a predetermined reference time or quality of service is lower than reference quality.

  • Patent number: 8787252
Abstract: There is provided a private base station including a processing unit configured to scan data of overlaying macro cells of a public radio network in order to report the location of the private base station; a communication unit configured to request a connectivity service from the public radio network by using identification data of the private base station and the location of the private base station; and a communication unit configured to receive grant to utilize the re-quested connectivity service once the identification data has been verified by the public radio network.

  • Patent number: 8532683
Abstract: A system and method for controlling base stations for multimedia broadcast communications. In one embodiment, a base station includes a reporting subsystem configured to broadcast at least one of a counting report request and a channel quality indictor report request to user equipment in a service area thereof. The reporting subsystem is also configured to process at least one of a counting report and a channel quality indicator report received from the user equipment and provide an activity status report therefrom. The base station also includes a dynamic single frequency network subsystem configured to determine to provide multimedia broadcast and multicast services in the service area thereof as a function of an activity status report from another base station.

  • Patent number: 8150398
Abstract: It is described a method for handing over a User Equipment from a first to a second base station of a telecommunication network. The described method includes establishing a first connection between the User Equipment and the first base station, arranging a current configuration of the User Equipment with the first base station, forwarding the current configuration to the second base station via a terrestrial interface, establishing a second connection between the User Equipment and the second base station, and reusing the forwarded configuration for the operation of the User Equipment, when the User Equipment is served by the second base station. A set of configuration parameters of the User Equipment is known by the first and the second base station as a default configuration and the current configuration of the User Equipment is forwarded from the first base station to the second base station by solely forwarding configuration parameters deviating from the default configuration.

  • Publication number: 20110130133
Abstract: It is described a method for forwarding information on a User Equipment from a first base station to a second base station of a cellular telecommunication network. The described method includes acquiring information on a User Equipment, the information including measurement values obtained by measurements procedures performed by the User Equipment, providing the acquired information to the first base station, deriving condensed information based on the provided information and forwarding the condensed information from the first base station to the second base station. The step of deriving condensed information may include performing a statistical analysis of the provided information. It is further described a base station, which, in combination with the User Equipment and a second base station is adapted for performing the described condensed information forwarding method.
