  • Publication number: 20100268531
Abstract: A DTX decision method includes: obtaining sub-band signal(s) according to an input signal; obtaining a variation of characteristic information of each of the sub-band signals; and performing DTX decision according to the variation of the characteristic information of each of the sub-band signals. With the invention, a complete and appreciate DTX decision result is obtained by making full use of the noise characteristic in the speech encoding/decoding bandwidth and using band-splitting and layered processing. As a result, the SID encoding/CNG decoding may closely follow the characteristic variation of the actual noise.

  • Publication number: 20060228271
Abstract: This invention relates to a porous metallic honeycomb substrate for automotive exhaust gas cleaning catalysts. It is mainly a column substrate formed by sintering metal grains, with many connected fine pores between the metal grains. And there are also many through holes between the two end faces of the column. Because the sintered metal grains have constructed a rough surface, the noble metal catalysts can be coated firmly on the said porous metal honeycomb substrate and is not easy to be blown off by the vent gas. In addition, because there are many fine pores between the metal grains, the gas can contact with the catalysts effectively, and so the conversion efficiency can be improved greatly.

  • Patent number: 6369758
Abstract: Pseudo random training symbols and/or a constant modulus pilot carrier in OFDM symbols are used to train an adaptive antenna array to cancel unwanted multipath signals and suppress interfering signals. Power variance and power level measurements taken from a plurality of antenna branches during the training symbols and/or the constant modulus pilot carrier are used to determine appropriate weights to be applied to each antenna branch.
