Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for releasably mounting a silencer on a firearm, particularly a firearm tube or a firearm tube extension, such as a muzzle brake, comprising a coupling body with a firearm-sided fastening mechanism and a silencer-sided fastening mechanism, wherein at least one of the fastening mechanisms comprises a clamping and releasing slide movably mounted on the coupling body the clamping and releasing slide being movable between a clamping position, in which the clamping and releasing slide is in a form-locking, silencer-sided or firearm-sided clamping engagement, and a releasing position, in which the clamping and releasing slide releases the silencer-sided or firearm-sided clamping engagement for separation from the coupling body.
