    Abstract: A noise-suppressing air intake for a ventilation fan comprising a base having at least one sidewall and an open top and a cap positioned over the base with a portion of the cap being aligned with a portion of the base, and another portion of the cap overlapping a portion of the sidewall of the base to define a downwardly-facing, shielded air inlet therebetween. An air outlet is located in the aligned portions of the cap and base.
