The undergarment disclosed herein has free cut edges and a gusset panel that addresses the limitations of existing free cut undergarments. The gusset panel is gathered along its left and right edges using elastic thread or elastic bands. The gathering provides elasticity and shape to the gusset panel, and limits the extent to which the gusset panel slides and becomes displaced on the wearer.

The reversible shapewear garment described herein includes two necklines, wherein the first neckline may extend under the wearer's breasts and the second neckline may extend across or above the wearer's breasts. Advantageously, this reversible garment may be worn backwards or forwards by the wearer while contouring to the natural body without creating visible lines or bulges of fabric or losing shape. Also disclosed herein are methods of assembling and wearing the reversible neckline shapewear garment.

Particularly, the garments can conceal the garment’s construction, skin imperfections such as cellulite or tattoos, or the color of undergarments despite having a light-colored outer appearance. The distribution of gripping technology throughout the garment gives increased freedom of body movement and reduces bulkiness over conventional garments, while also allowing for free cut edges. Furthermore, the dispersion of the gripping technology over the majority of the garment eliminates the problem of polymer strips and beading digging into the skin. Slip garment embodiments are disclosed herein that include a lower region having an interior surface with exposed elastic threads configured to directly contact the wearer. The slip garment embodiments include a free-cut lower edge. The slip garment embodiments can be constructed using cut and sew methods.

The gusset panel is fixedly or seamlessly attached to the front body panel and fixedly or seamlessly attached to the back body panel. An access space is formed by leaving at least a portion of a lateral gusset panel edge unattached to any other portion of the garment. The access space can be widened with one hand due to the highly stretchable characteristics of the gusset panel.

The abdominal region of the shapewear garment includes at least one dart provided in the fabric. The fabric of the shapewear garment is a high-elasticity fabric containing from about 20% to about 60% elastane. The darts in the abdominal region increase the control in the targeted abdominal area without significantly decreasing the flexibility and comfort of the high-elasticity fabric.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are posterior-lifting garments for supporting a buttocks of a wearer, the posterior-lifting garments comprising a pant garment comprising a lift attachment positioned at an upper portion of the pant garment above the buttocks of the wearer; and a posterior-lifting article having a first end and a second end; wherein the first end of the posterior-lifting article is attached to a lower portion of the pant garment; and wherein the second end of the posterior-lifting article is configured to attach to the lift attachment and to provide traction pulling the lower portion of the pant garment toward the upper portion of the pant garment so as to more closely conform the pant garment to the buttocks and provide support for the buttocks. Methods of assembling the posterior-lifting garments are also disclosed.
