  • Patent number: 8850988
Abstract: An overhead installation for transporting people in an urban environment includes two carrying cables, which sag in curved manner and are spaced apart from one another, on which the rollers of the vehicle without a hanger arm run. Jacks with vertical displacement, controlled by a central unit, are placed in the connection between the rollers and the vehicle so as to reduce transmission of undesirable movements, resulting from the sag of the cables, to the car of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8615338
Abstract: The embarkation of passengers onto a vehicle of a transport installation with an aerial cable, comprising selectively served intermediate stations, is controlled by a programming device calculating the number of passengers allowed to go into a double-entrance security door and to embark onto a vehicle stopping at the station, according to the number of passengers in the vehicle and to the number of passengers disembarking from the vehicle at this station as they have compulsorily indicated when embarking.

  • Publication number: 20130180425
Abstract: The line of the passenger transport installation in an urban environment extends at a height over the middle of the street and the vehicles stop in an elevated state in the terminal station. An automatic mechanism, comprising a lifting jack and a telescopic platform, makes it possible to transfer the passengers from the sidewalk at ground level to the elevated vehicle by means of a vertical movement followed by a transverse movement.

  • Patent number: 5873310
Abstract: A loading station of a detachable chair-lift comprises two spots 22, 29 for alternate pickup of skiers 21. To give the skiers easy access to the pickup spots, the distance between the chairs is increased by grouping them in pairs in the access zones. The station may comprise two tracks 16, 17, each having a pickup spot, onto which the chairs 11, uncoupled from the rope, are directed alternately. The two pickup spots can be on the same track, one after the other, the grouping of the chairs in pairs then being modified when running between the two pickup spots so that the rear chair of the pair at the first is pickup spot comes in front at the second pickup spot.

  • Patent number: 5060576
Abstract: A terminal of a detachable cable-car with two or more carrier-hauling ropes including bull-wheels located underneath the floor. After the cars have been uncoupled the carrier-hauling ropes run on downward diversion means which direct the ropes towards the bull-wheels. The cars detached from the ropes pass between the diversion wheels to the rear of the terminal.

  • Patent number: 4953468
Abstract: The towers (12, 14) of an aerial cable (16) transport installation lean towards one another to reduce their height. Guying cables (48) hold the towers (12, 14).

  • Patent number: 4691642
Abstract: The cable-car or gondola lift according to the invention comprises two upper cables (10, 12) which laterally frame the upper part of the vehicle (18). The latter bears two support parts (20, 22) articulated on a single horizontal transverse axis of the vehicle (18), each support part being able to be coupled to one of the cables (10, 12). The two cables (10, 12), for example carrier-hauling cables, move in synchronism, the vehicle (18) being able to be detached at the entry to the stations for unloading and loading at a standstill or at reduced speed. The longitudinal stability of the vehicle (18) is ensured by one or more cables staggered in height with respect to the cables (10, 12). According to an alternative embodiment, the longitudinal stability is conferred by the structure of the vehicle (18) itself, in this instance a modular structure.

  • Patent number: 4619206
Abstract: The present invention relates to a gondola lift having two parallel suspension haulage cables between which the gondolas hang. The two cable loops extend between two stations and each cable is driven by a direct current electrical motor, the two motors being identical and having separate excitation circuits. The armature windings are connected to the same power supply source by two armature circuits including identical resistors which provide an armature voltage drop and a reduction in speed for restoring identical power outputs of the two motors when one of the cables is in advance. The mechanical connections between the cables and the motors include gear boxes, the high speed shafts therefrom being coupled by a control clutch.
