  • Publication number: 20060230607
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for gripping and transferring a ring of electrical conductors in the form of pins which are used to produce a winding, such as a pin winding. The gripping device (C) is designed to seize the ring from a first element, such as a ring-forming element, and to transfer same into a second element (B), such as an element used to insert the ring into the member that supports the winding to be produced. The inventive device comprises a control cone (19) which can be moved axially inside a frame (13) for contact with levers (15) which are pivot mounted to the frame, such that the levers pivot when the cone is moved. The winding-production system is characterized in that it comprises an autonomous gripping and transfer device (C) which can be separated from the above-mentioned first and second elements (B) and which can be positioned on same in a pre-determined reference position. The invention can be used to produce a stator for an electrically-rotating machine.

  • Patent number: 6915556
Abstract: This process for assembling conductive segments (16) of a rotor or stator winding of a rotary electrical machine comprises the stages consisting in inserting the conductive segments (16) in slots arranged in a core (12) of the rotor or of the stator in such a way that the conductive segments project beyond the latter by their free ends, and in welding the conductive segments in pairs by their projecting free ends to form a winding (14) around the rotor or the stator. The conductive segments each being formed by a wire of electrically conductive material covered with a layer of electrically insulating material, the layer of electrically insulating material is eliminated, in the zone in which the conductive segments are welded, by the means used to weld the latter. • Publication number: 20030159269
Abstract: The inventive method of assembling conductive segments (16) of a rotor winding or a stator winding in a rotary electric machine comprises the following stages: insertion of the conductive segments (16) into slots made in a core (12) of the rotor or stator, whereby the free ends of the conductive segments protrude beyond the latter, and welding of the free ends of the conductive segments in groups of two in order to form a winding (14) around the rotor or stator. The conductor statements are both made of wire which is electrically conductive and coated with an electrically insulating material. The coating of electrically insulating material is removed in the welding zone of the conductive segments by the means used for welding the latter. The invention can be used for conducting segments of a rotor or stator winding in an alternator in a motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6519993
Abstract: A machine for configuring the winding head of a stator for a rotary electrical machine, which includes U-shaped conductors which are inserted axially into axial slots in the stator body, is of the type comprising a support body together with concentric tubular sleeves. The lower axial end part of each sleeve includes gripping means. The gripping means of each sleeve consist of a set of gripping slots, each of which has a right angled profile in circumferential and axial cross section. Each of these slots receives the free end portion of one conductor, so that rotation of a sleeve produces a single bend at the open end of the axial slot for each conductor in the associated layer of conductors in the stator.

  • Patent number: 5942826
Abstract: The rotor or the stator of the apparatus has inductor coils whose respective axes are parallel to the axis of rotation and distributed at regular intervals along a circle centred on the axis of rotation. Each coil is traversed by a cylindrical pole core, one end of which is provided with a pole shoe of larger cross-section. An armature disc travels past these pole shoes with interposition of a gap. In relation to the direction of travel of the armature disc, each pole shoe offers an area which is larger in front than to the rear of the radial plane passing through the axis of rotation and through the axis of the corresponding coil. Each pole shoe has a rear edge of convex general shape in a plane parallel to the armature disc.
