  • Patent number: 7036885
Abstract: A motor vehicle seat including a transmission device which connects a seat back to a locking device of a runner for the purpose of moving the locking device into an actuating position. The transmission device comprises at least one cable, a spring and a drive mechanism for driving the spring over a first stroke enabling the locking device of the runner to be unlocked, the drive mechanism continuing on its own over a second stroke to enable the seat back to be tilted forwards.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 9, 2004
Date of Patent: May 2, 2006
    Assignee: Faurecia Sieges d'Automobile

  • Patent number: 6874746
Abstract: A motor vehicle runner having one element comprising a fin connected to a base perpendicular to the find, said first runner element comprising first and second sheet metal section members each having a fin wall, the fin walls of the first and second section members touching each other and being fixed together via their main faces to form the fin of the runner element. The first section member further comprises a base wall connected to the fin wall of the first section member by a rounded bend which co-operates with the second section member to define a slot. The runner element further comprises a bridge of material which spans said slot and constitutes a direct rigid mechanical connection between the second section member and the base wall of the first section member.

  • Patent number: 6164723
Abstract: A seat, the back of which is connected to the seat part by a pivot including two webs able to be fixed by toothed inserts controlled by a cam. In order to allow the folding down of the seat back forwards, then the replacing of this back into its initial position, the pivoting cam is connected to an external memorisation mechanism, which comprises a control part connected to this cam by a lost motion mechanical connection adapted so that the activation of the cam does not move the activating part, and so that the activation of the memorisation mechanism drives the movement of the cam to its unlocked position.

  • Patent number: 6095608
Abstract: A seat whose back is connected to the seat proper by first and second side hinges, each comprising two cheek-plates that can be locked together by toothed slugs under the control of a cam. The first hinge includes a resilient ring having notches in which the corresponding slugs can engage. The two hinges are interconnected by a link mechanism having lost motion so that actuating the cam of the first hinge unlocks the slugs in both hinges and also causes the slugs in the first hinge to disengage from the notches in the resilient ring, while actuating the cam of the second hinge does no more than release the slugs in both hinges while leaving the slugs of the first hinge engaged in their respective notches.

  • Patent number: 6082821
Abstract: A mobile joint mechanism comprising a fixed flange and a mobile flange that can be locked by two units controlled by a sliding push-rod that is itself activated by the pivoting of two control plates linked one to the other by idle movement, to free the mobile flange. A circular guide includes radial gaps that receive the units, and maintain the units in retracted position when they disengage from the radial gaps through the pivoting of one of the control plates, which also fixes the circular guide to the mobile flange. The mobile flange can thus turn freely before in re-locks at its original angle when the radial gaps of the circular guide return to be opposite the units.

  • Patent number: 5788325
Abstract: A vehicle seat hinge has a fixed first cheek plate, a moving second cheek plate provided with an inwardly-directed circular set of teeth, and at least one slug suitable for co-operating with the teeth of the moving cheek plate, said slug being radially displaceable by means of a cam which is controlled by an actuator device to lock the hinge in the event of the vehicle being subjected to a predetermined level of impact.
