  • Publication number: 20070262814
Abstract: A flow meter filter system (200) according to an embodiment of the invention includes a noise pass filter (203) configured to receive a first version of a flow meter signal and filter out the flow meter data from the flow meter signal to leave a noise signal, a noise quantifier (204) configured to receive the noise signal from the noise pass filter (203) and measure noise characteristics of the noise signal, a damping adjuster (205) configured to receive the noise characteristics from the noise quantifier (204) and generate a damping value based on the noise characteristics, and a filter element (206) configured to receive a second version of the flow meter signal and receive the damping value from the damping adjuster (205), with the filter element (206) being further configured to damp the second version of the flow meter signal based on the damping value in order to produce a filtered flow meter signal.

  • Patent number: 6505131
Abstract: A digital signal processor for determining a property of a material flowing through a conduit. The digital signal processor of this invention receives signals from two pick-off sensor mounted at two different points along a flow tube at a first sample rate. The signals are converted to digital signals. The digital signals are decimated from a first sample rate to a desired sample rate. The frequency of the received signals is then determined from the digital signals at the desired sample rate.

  • Patent number: 5524063
Abstract: An apparatus for reading a series of magnetic characters on a bank check is herein disclosed. The characters are preprinted in a certain way within a predetermined area of the check. Also, the characters within the series of characters may be any character from a predetermined group of characters. The apparatus includes a housing which defines a specific path through which the check, oriented in a predetermined way, is intended to pass. The housing supports a magnetic read head for sensing the magnetic characters on the check as it passes through the apparatus and for producing an electrical signal unique to each character. The housing also supports automatically moving the check through the path defined by the housing at a speed which is intended to be constant but which may vary randomly within a certain tolerance. This moving of the check through the apparatus produces the electrical signals as the characters move past the read head.

  • Patent number: 4849912
Abstract: An image digitizing and stereo mensuration system for analyzing hard copy photographic, transparency, paper drawing, radar, and other images, features an improved mensuration frame grabbing system utilizing a reseau grid location reference system in which individual reseau detection and location is automatic. One or more specific sub-areas of a large macro-area stereo image, or an entire large format macro-area stereo image can be digitized, correlated and displayed as a stereo image, such as a three-dimensional display or other stereo overlapping images, on a CRT, graphic display device or the like.

  • Patent number: 4841455
Abstract: A mensuration apparatus for converting film images and paper drawings into digital photogrammetric arrays to be computer processed, displayed, mensurated and analyzed. This mensuration apparatus includes a table on which a translatable camera and a reseau assembly are mounted. The reseau assembly includes an object mounting plate for mounting an object such as a photograph, map, or the like, and a grid mark system for superimposing grid marks on the object. The translatable camera includes a solid state camera having a two-dimensional array of light sensor elements mounted over the reseau assembly in a translatable mounting apparatus. Said translation camera can be moved as any desired position over the reseau assembly, as well as toward and away from the reseau assembly, forming three coordinate systems, which are correlated together for precise mensuration of an object image digitized by the solid state camera.
