    Abstract: A method for operating a measuring device includes: storing a voltage membership function; assigning a voltage membership degree to a voltage fuzzy set of sufficient buffer voltages; storing an operating parameter membership function; assigning an operating parameter membership degree to an operating parameter fuzzy set of sufficient operating parameter values; determining an operating parameter value and measuring a first buffer voltage at a first time; executing a fuzzy algorithm that involves determining the voltage membership degree of the first buffer voltage using the voltage membership function, determining the operating parameter membership degree of the operating parameter value using the operating parameter membership function, and determining a result membership degree by combining the voltage membership degree and the operating parameter membership degree; and determining a further method step which requires no more than an available energy for a duration of an execution of the method step.

    Abstract: A system includes a field device and a control device. The field device includes a field device controller and a field device transmitter. The control device includes a control device controller and a control device transmitter. The field device transmitter and the control device transmitter have a transmission path between them. The field device controller and the control device controller are adapted for bidirectional transmission of messages between one another according to a communication protocol via the field device transmitter, the transmission path, and the control device transmitter. The communication protocol implements the transmission of messages with a master role and a slave role. The field device controller implements the master role and the control device controller implements the slave role. A related method is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A tire with a changing tread pattern is formed by first forming a tire having a tread, the tread having at least one circumferential or lateral groove. Formed separately is a wearable filler, the wearable filler having a configuration corresponding to at least a portion of the circumferential or lateral groove formed in the tire. After both the tire and the wearable filler have been cured, the wearable filler is located in the radially outer portion of the circumferential or lateral groove or a portion of the circumferential or lateral groove, and secured within the grooves so as to create a groove void radially inward of the wearable filler, the void being exposed upon wear of the tire tread.
