  • Patent number: 7179085
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing a dental solution is disclosed and includes a dispensing nozzle adapted for attachment to a syringe. The dispensing nozzle has a curved applicator tip with a securely mounted brush that extends beyond the applicator tip to aid in placement of the dental solution. A retainer hub is positioned in the dispensing nozzle to prevent the brush from retracting into or being expelled from the dispensing nozzle during use.

  • Patent number: 6158435
Abstract: A pessary for vaginal use that prevents rotation after insertion is disclosed. An oval shape prevents rotation of the pessary once installed and a novel unitary molded structure with different hardnesses of biocompatible material eliminates the use of wire inserts that can become exposed and injure the user while facilitating folding of the pessary during insertion and removal. Further embodiments add an inner membrane to aid in controlling uterine prolapse and a novel raised portion or porch to support the urethra and control incontinence.

  • Patent number: 5358497
Abstract: A medical locking device securely fits onto finger grips of a syringe. The locking device is axially aligned with the syringe along a defined longitudinal axis wherein the syringe receives a plunger. The locking device includes a centrally positioned aperture which receives the shaft of the plunger. A retaining member is positioned around the aperture and receives the finger grips of the syringe by engaging at least three sides of the finger grips. This eliminates shifting of the medical locking device and there are opposed cutting members which are chordally positioned in the aperture. The cutting members taper as fine cutting edges for wedging into the plunger during execution of a locking position. To utilize the device, the user twists the plunger into a locking position so that the cutting members wedge into the plunger. This locking position eliminates and prevents any further plunger movement in either direction along the longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 5217024
Abstract: A medical device for removing tissue from a body cavity includes a tubular shaped handle securely connected and in communication with an elongated hollow tubular probe. The probe includes a spherical tip and an open area with a notch. The open area includes a cutting edge for removing tissue. The handle has a visual and tactile indicator in the general shape of a raised arrow. The raised indicator is axially aligned with open area of the probe. Accordingly, the user can feel or see the raised indicator and know the exact orientation of the open area when the cutting edge of the device is in the body cavity.

  • Patent number: 4774126
Abstract: A low cost thermoplastic material having a low heat distortion (HDT) thermoplastic material forms the main structural component of a structural member. A relatively high cost high HDT thermoplastic material is attached to the low cost main structural component and is plated with a solderable metallic coating. The coating can be attached to other structures with relatively higher temperature molten solder with negligible distortion. The structural member may be, for example, an electrical shield to be soldered to a printed circuit board or a printed circuit board whose core is low HDT material and exterior is high HDT material.

  • Patent number: 4701725
Abstract: A radio frequency signal coupler includes first and second conductors formed on an insulating body for coupling signals between respective input and output couplings. A series resonant circuit is formed on the insulating body between the first and second conductors for shunt attenuating interfering signals. The series resonant circuit includes a capacitance part that also functions as a protective spark gap.

  • Patent number: 4700158
Abstract: A helical resonator comprises an insulating body portion having therein a cavity. In one embodiment, a helical conductor is formed on the inside wall of the cavity and another conductor is formed on the outside of the insulating body. In another embodiment, the helical conductor is formed on the outside of the insulating body and the other conductor is formed on the outside wall of the cavity. In a preferred embodiment, the disclosed helical resonator is formed as an integral part of the body of a signal coupler for coupling an antenna to a tuner and electrically forms a series tuned trap connected between conductors of the signal coupler.

  • Patent number: 4573068
Abstract: In a video signal processor for a progressive scanning system, an interlaced composite video signal, repeating at an f.sub.H line rate of approximately 16 KHz, is coupled to a comb filter. Separated luminance and chrominance signals are developed at respective output terminals of the comb filter. The chrominance signal is demodulated to develop color mixture signals. The luminance and color mixture signals are applied to a color matrix for generating a first set of R, G, B color signals, with each signal repeating at the f.sub.H line rate. A time compression circuit is coupled to the output of the color matrix for time compressing the R, G, B color signals to generate a comparable set of three time compressed and processed color signals, with each time compressed signal repeating at a double line rate of 2f.sub.H. The video signal processor is also capable of converting f.sub.H line rate, interlaced R, G, B signals, obtained from an external video source, into double line rate, non-interlaced signals.
