  • Patent number: 6674349
Abstract: The device according to the invention comprises an armature mechanically connected to an actuating rod of the contacts of the apparatus and movable in a support block between a rest position and an active position, at least one permanent magnet and at least one winding. The magnet(s) has(have) the function of holding the armature in the rest position whereas the winding(s) has(have) the function of generating, when an opening order occurs due for example to a voltage surge or other (or respectively a closing order), a magnetic field designed to counteract the force of the magnets so as to move the armature to the active position resulting in separation of the contacts (or respectively closing of the contacts). This device is characterized in that the above-mentioned armature is mounted movable in rotation between two stops arranged in the support, said stops respectively bounding the two above-mentioned positions.

  • Patent number: 5095183
Abstract: A pole-unit of a gas-blast electrical circuit breaker comprises a tranverse partition made of injected insulating plastic material which at the same time performs guiding of the movable contact which passes through it. The injected material part bears an O-ring ensuring tightness with the casing and a one-way check valve of gas flow orifices arranged in the transverse partition. The gas-blast piston securedly united to the movable contact is also made of injected material and it comprises housing and clipping means of the puffer nozzle securedly fixed to the piston. A scraper seal in the form of a split segment is housed in a circumferential groove arranged in the injected part of the piston. The electrical connection between the movable contact rod and a flexible current supply insert is achieved by a braided strip extending in the form of a half-loop in a transverse plane to the pole-unit.

  • Patent number: 5003138
Abstract: A medium-voltage electrical switch comprises contacts actuated by a connecting rod and crank system. Parallel to the main contacts there is arranged an arcing circuit comprising a cylindrical electrode disposed inside a coil and whose internal surface cooperates with a movable arcing contact. The mechanical link connecting the main contact to the arcing contact comprises a crank and connecting rod system comprising a flexible part formed by an aperture and a spring providing the contact pressure of the arcing contacts. In the open position of the switch, the connecting rod extends perpendicular to the crank and the flexible part is neutralized so as to hold the movable arcing contact without clearance in the open position despite the electrodynamic forces acting on it.
