  • Patent number: 7093597
Abstract: Respiratory apparatus including stowage equipment is addressed. The equipment may include a non-rigid bag covering at least part of an oxygen mask. The bag additionally may have an opening through which a portion of the mask protrudes, thereby facilitating its grasping and rapid donning by a user.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 19, 2002
Date of Patent: August 22, 2006
    Inventor: Denis Taieb
  • Patent number: 6755194
Abstract: Stowage systems having boxes with covers are addressed. Exemplary systems include mechanisms for biasing covers toward their closed positions and for blocking, or maintaining, covers in their open positions when necessary or desired. Such systems are particularly (although not exclusively) useful for cockpit storage of oxygen masks, where open covers might impede use of certain flight controls during aircraft operation but facilitate removal or reinsertion of the masks by a mechanic when the aircraft is not operating.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 9, 2002
Date of Patent: June 29, 2004
    Assignee: Intertechnique, S.A.
    Inventor: Denis Taieb

  • Patent number: 5913307
Abstract: The breathing protection equipment includes a mask having an inflatable harness and a demand regulator with three operating modes which are manually selectable. The operating mode is indicated to the wearer of the mask by a repeater. The repeater has a mode sensor carried by the mask and a mode indicator located in the field of view of the wearer and driven by the mode sensor. The mode sensor may detect the position of the switch actuated by the user for changing the mode. The mode indicator may be a display on a mask storage box or on the mask.
