Patent number: 11957867Abstract: A syringe stabilizing apparatus has a base and a syringe support. The syringe support is vertically disposed above the base, elevating a fluid-filled portion of an infusion set vertically above the base and orienting a delivery end of the fluid-filled portion upwardly relative to a horizontal plane to take advantage of a gravitational effect on a fluid during delivery of the fluid from the fluid-filled portion to a patient. The syringe support comprises a first retainer and a selectively actuated tube clamp. The first retainer has an opening in which a rigid portion of the infusion set is received and retained therein without further user intervention. The selectively actuated tube clamp is operatively aligned with the first retainer. A flexible tube extending from the rigid portion of the infusion set extends through the selectively actuated tube clamp.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2017Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: Takeda Pharmaceutical Company LimitedInventors: Scott Richard Ariagno, Angela Teresa Muriset, Daniel Edward Roush, Denise A. Alexander, Madeleine Clare Gibson, Gin-Fu Chen

Patent number: 11903900Abstract: A container unit may be used to facilitate administrations of multiple medicinal fluids to a patient. A container unit may include a first container, a second container, and a carrier which holds the first container and the second container stationary relative to each other. The carrier may include a lip configured to engage a pooling device to secure the container unit to the pooling device. The carrier may also include a slot configured to engage an insert on the pooling device to guide the container unit as the container unit is secured to the pooling device. The carrier may also include a first portion and second portion with different shapes that are complementary to a shape of a port on the pooling device. The carrier may also include an extension which extends in a direction away from one of the first container to a level at least even with a stopper disposed in the first container.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2019Date of Patent: February 20, 2024Assignee: Takeda Pharmaceutical Company LimitedInventors: Seth Dale Jones, Madeleine Clare Gibson, Denise A. Alexander, Daniel Edward Roush

Patent number: 10895508Abstract: A sensor insert for positioning a temperature sensor within a glycol bottle. The sensor insert may be transparent and in the general shape of a tube, and is adapted for insertion in a bottle having an upper opening and a bottom. The sensor insert can also comprise an insert body having a first end, a second end and an inner surface. The insert body may be tapered from the first end toward the second end, for easy insertion into the bottle. The sensor insert can hold a temperature sensor away from the bottom and sides of the bottle to enable more accurate temperature readings. The insert also allows fluid within the bottle to be in contact with the temperature sensor due to fluid openings in the insert body.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 2018Date of Patent: January 19, 2021Assignee: Dickson/Unigage, Inc.Inventors: Dean A. Tjaden, Jr., Steven J. Thompson, James D. Springer, Denise A. Alexander

Patent number: 10697810Abstract: A sensor housing assembly for enclosing an electrical interface circuit, a sensor or sensor input, and a connector for interfacing with a data unit. The sensor housing assembly generally includes a housing containing a circuit board and interface circuitry to condition a sensor input signal, and a connector mounted on the circuit board, the assembly being insertable into a data unit. The housing can include a protrusion that prevents the assembly from being inserted into the data unit incorrectly, which also allows a symmetrical connector to be used. The sensor housing assembly is adapted to be inserted into a receptacle in the data unit, which has blocking tabs that act with the protrusion to ensure that the assembly can only be inserted one way.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 2018Date of Patent: June 30, 2020Assignee: Dickson/Unigage, Inc.Inventors: Dean A. Patent number: 9483634Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for generating a short term password that may be used to access a data warehouse. According to aspects of the disclosure, a user may request a password after inputting a data warehouse environment, an ID name, and a reason for the password reset. A server may receive the request and determine whether the difference in time of the present request and a previous request for the same ID name and data warehouse environment is greater than a time limit. Additionally, the server may determine whether a previous user has logged in using a password for the same ID name and data warehouse environment. Thereafter, the server may generate and output a short term password that expires after the time limit.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2016Date of Patent: November 1, 2016Assignee: Bank of America CorporationInventors: Denise Alexander, Sugumar Balaraman, Thiyagu Chandran, Prabhu Davidraj, Judeson Bobson John, Mary E.
