  • Publication number: 20240075839
Abstract: An electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) charging station for charging a propulsion battery pack of an electric vehicle (EV) includes a charging cabinet, an electrical cable, and a charge coupler. The charging station is operable for providing a charging voltage or current to the battery pack during a charging operation. The electrical cable has a distal end connected to the charging cabinet. The charge coupler is connected to a proximal end of the electrical cable and connects to a charge receptacle of the EV. The charge coupler includes at least one heating element connected to the charge coupler. The heating element is configured to selectively heat the charge coupler in response to the environmental state being indicative of accumulated snow or ice on the charge coupler.

Abstract: An electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) charging station for charging a propulsion battery pack of an electric vehicle (EV) includes a charging cabinet, an electrical cable, a charge coupler, and a cradle operable for stowing the charge coupler. The charging station provides a charging voltage or current to the battery pack during a charging operation of the EV. The electrical cable has a distal end connected to the charging cabinet. The charge coupler is connected to a proximal end of the electrical cable and connects to a charge receptacle of the EV. The cradle includes at least one heating element connected thereto. The heating element is configured to selectively heat the cradle body in response to the environmental state of the cradle body being indicative of accumulated snow or ice on the charge coupler and/or the cradle body.

  • Publication number: 20080046074
Abstract: An accommodating intraocular lens includes an optic portion, a haptic portion. The optic portion of the lens includes an actuator that deflects a lens element to alter the optical power of the lens responsive to forces applied to the haptic portion of the lens by contraction of the ciliary muscles and a secondary deflection mechanism. Movement of the lens element by the actuator causes the lens element to deform and the secondary deflection mechanism causes the lens to further deform.

  • Publication number: 20070203578
Abstract: An accommodating intraocular lens includes an optic portion a haptic portion and a backstop. The optic portion of the lens includes an actuator that deflects a lens element to alter the optical power of the lens responsive to forces applied to the haptic portion of the lens by contraction of the ciliary muscles. Forces applied to the haptic portion may result in fluid displacements from or to the haptic portion from the actuator. The backstop provides support to the haptic so that bulk translation of the haptic is prevented in response to the forces applied by the capsular sac.

  • Publication number: 20060282152
Abstract: A delivery system for a medical device. The delivery system comprises an inner member, a retractable sheath disposed over the inner member and being slideable over the inner member, and a retraction member coupled to the retractable sheath and disposed at least in portion within the retractable sheath, the retraction member being slideable over the inner member. An axial movement of the retraction member retracts or actuates the retractable member.
