Publication number: 20220241520Abstract: The disclosed tamper-evident closure (100) encloses a medical access device, such as a vascular access device (200), such that it will be visibly apparent if the medical access device contained in the tamper-evident closure becomes exposed. The tamper-evident closure cannot be reapplied over the medical access device in a way to look the same as it did prior to exposing the medical access device. The tamper-evident closures comprise a holding cavity (110), a securing mechanism (160), and an apparent release. The disclosed tamper-evident closures are well suited for securing a medical access device that has an access point for delivering fluid to a patient or removing fluid from a patient.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 31, 2020Publication date: August 4, 2022Applicant: 3M INNOVATIVE PROPERTIES COMPANYInventors: ALAN R. Patent number: 11026552Abstract: A scrubbing article including a substrate, a stain release coating and a texture layer. The stain release coating is applied to the substrate and is present over a at least a major surface of the substrate, and the texture layer is formed over the stain release coating opposite the substrate. In some embodiments, the texture layer is printed on to the stain release coating. The substrate can assume various forms, such as nonwoven, fabric (e.g., woven or knitted), foam, film and sponge material or combinations thereof.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 2017Date of Patent: June 8, 2021Assignee: 3M INNOVATIVE PROPERTIES COMPANYInventors: Stewart H. Patent number: 9563696Abstract: At least some aspects of the present disclosure feature systems and methods for managing notes. The note management system includes a note source, a note recognition module, a note extraction module, and a note labeling module. The note source is a visual representation of a scene having a note. The note recognition module is configured to receive the visual representation and determine a general boundary of the note from the visual representation. The note extraction module is configured to extract content of the note from the visual representation based on the determined general boundary. The note labeling module is configured to label the note with a category.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2014Date of Patent: February 7, 2017Assignee: 3M Innovative Properties CompanyInventors: Willem V.
