Patent number: 12052848Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided to facilitate the cooling of different configurations of cards within a chassis, e.g., a card riser cage. Embodiments disclose telescoping air dams that may be reconfigured to adapt to different combinations of half height and full height cards to fill vacancies in the chassis, hindering the flow of air through those vacancies, thereby redirecting the flow elsewhere and improving the cooling of the cards. By being reconfigurable, embodiments improve the ease that card cages may be reconfigured by reducing the number of parts necessary for such reconfigurations.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2022Date of Patent: July 30, 2024Assignee: ZT Group Int'l, Inc.Inventors: Michael Dennis Marcade, Ellie Elsu, Mark Alan Hammond, Vladimir Igor Lipnevici

Publication number: 20080097601Abstract: Mastopexy and breast reconstruction prostheses and implantation method that allow for radiographic imaging of the breast tissue. The prostheses are arcuate and elongate optionally meshed to conform with breast tissue when implanted. Prostheses are made from naturally occurring extracellular matrix, primarily collagen, that, allows for mammographic imaging without interference as is expected from synthetic materials.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 31, 2007Publication date: April 24, 2008Inventors: Jeanne Codori-Hurff, Dennis Hammond

Publication number: 20070077164Abstract: The present invention provides metal powder compositions for pressed powder metallurgy and methods of forming metal parts using the metal powder compositions. In one embodiment, the metal powder composition according to the invention includes a blend of primary metal particles, one or more liquid phase forming materials or precursors thereof, a lubricant and an organic acid that is capable of reacting with an oxide of a metal in the primary metal particles to form an organic metal salt that decomposes when the metal powder composition is sintered under reducing or non-oxidizing conditions. During a “delubing” step, the organic acid reacts with an oxide of a metal in the primary metal particles to form an organic metal salt that decomposes into a base metal or a metal-carbide during sintering.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 3, 2005Publication date: April 5, 2007Applicant: APEX ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES, LLCInventors: Dennis Hammond, Richard Phillips

Publication number: 20070048166Abstract: The present invention provides powder metal compositions and methods of making and using the same. Powder metal compositions according to the invention include base metal particles, a lubricant that transforms from a solid phase material to a viscous, liquid phase material during pressing, and a micronized deformable solid material. The micronized deformable solid material fills at least a portion of the void space between the base metal particles during pressing, which allows at least a portion of the lubricant to migrate as a viscous liquid phase material to the interface between the surface of the green compact and the wall of the mold cavity to provide lubrication that reduces the ejection force necessary to remove the green compact from the mold cavity.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 26, 2005Publication date: March 1, 2007Applicant: APEX ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES, LLCInventor: Dennis Hammond

Publication number: 20050044988Abstract: The present invention provides a composition for use in pressed powder metallurgy. The composition includes a plurality of substantially dry, discrete agglomerates, a portion of which include a first metal particle adhered to a second metal particle by a binder that includes a polysaccharide. The composition can be used to form green compacts that exhibit excellent green strength and high density. The present invention also provides a process for the preparation of the composition, a method of forming a metal part using the composition and metal parts formed according to the method.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 1, 2004Publication date: March 3, 2005Applicant: Apex Advanced Technologies, LLCInventor: Dennis Hammond

Patent number: 4575270Abstract: An improved hose end sprayer is provided in which chemical concentrate from a reservoir circumscribing a tube secured to the end of the hose is gradually fed into a liquid stream passing through the tube. A back pressure baffle is fitted within the tube between a pair of holes spaced in the tube in the portion thereof circumscribed by the reservoir walls. A first of the holes permits gradually release of liquid concentrate within the reservoir when under pressure into the tube. This hole is positioned downstream of the baffle. A partition within the chamber is fitted over the tube, at least a portion thereof being movable under pressure from liquid within the tube passing through the second hole upstream of the baffle into the reservoir. This action causes sufficient pressure on the concentrate to cause its gradual release through the first hole into the tube.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 1984Date of Patent: March 11, 1986Assignee: Dustbane Products LimitedInventor: Dennis A. Patent number: 4457038Abstract: A permanent handle for a disposable brush or mop head. The handle comprises an elongated hollow body having a bottom and top end, the bottom end to releasably frictionally engage a disposable brush or mop head and secure it in working position on the handle body. When it is desired to change the head, a plunger longitudinally movable within the elongated body is manipulated by the user to bear against a portion of the brush or mop head and dislodge it from frictional engagement with the body. In this manner the operator can avoid touching a soiled brush or mop head when removing it from the handle for replacement.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 1982Date of Patent: July 3, 1984Assignee: Dustbane Products Limited/Les Produits Dustbane LimiteeInventor: Dennis A. Patent number: 4417364Abstract: A holder for receiving the handle and securing the yarn of a yacht mop or the like is provided. The holder comprises a sleeve to receive in one end the handle of the mop. A base is also provided having a concave interior surface against which the yarn of the mop is to be held. The base is centrally secured to the other end of the sleeve. A pair of spaced slots provided in the base extends through the base and is located in the portion thereof circumscribed by the sleeve. The holder further comprises a flexible bundling strap having an elongated body portion. One end of the body portion is a tail end and the other end is a clinching eyelet. The clinching eyelet allows the tail end of the strap to pass through it and securely hold the strap against unpurposeful disengagement. The strap is fitted in the slots so that its tail end and clinching eyelet are positioned on the concave side of the base.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 1982Date of Patent: November 29, 1983Assignee: Dustbane Products LimitedInventor: Dennis A. Patent number: 4287632Abstract: A pivoting jaw retaining means for a yarn-type wet mop head, the main parts of which may be integrally moulded from appropriate plastic material and which has few moving parts. The retaining means has an elongated body provided with opposite spaced first and second terminal extensions downwardly extending from the ends of the body. One end of the jaw is pivotably secured to the lower free end of the first extension. The other end of the jaw and the inside surface of the lower end of the second extension are provided with releasably co-operating engagement means. When in engaged position the jaw and the body are in spaced parallel orientation. The second terminal extension also extends upwardly from the corresponding end of the body. The second terminal is pivotably associated between its ends with the body for outward movement of the lower free end of the second terminal extension away from the jaw. The retaining means is further provided with a semi-rigid release bar.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 1980Date of Patent: September 8, 1981Assignee: Dustbane Enterprises LimitedInventor: Dennis A. Hammond
