  • Patent number: 7388906
Abstract: In a particular embodiment a method of collecting and processing modem data is provided. The method includes, during training of a broadband modem, sending a series of tones within a frequency transmission band of the broadband modem, receiving the transmitted series of tones at a receiving broadband modem, receiving a measurement value, determining a transmission loss for each of the series of tones by comparing the predetermined transmission power level, and the received measured power level, performing a statistical match comparison between each of the received tone signals and a plurality of different computer models of a single transmission facility having various bridge taps connected to the single transmission facility, and determining a best fit between each of the received tone signals and one of the plurality of the bridge tap computer models. The series of tones have a predetermined transmission power level.

  • Publication number: 20070138350
Abstract: A support is provided for conduit held on a channel member having a C-shaped cross section with lips extending toward the back wall of the channel. The support has a base with one surface adapted to fasten to the conduit. The second surface has a twist-lock fastener that includes a first and second plate, each having a width sized to fit through the space between the lips and having a length about the same as the distance between the sides of the channel. Two V-shaped deformable members join these plates adjacent the ends on the longest side of the plates. Each V-shaped member is joined to a different plate and the bends at the juncture of the two legs of the V-shaped member abut the side walls of the channel. The bends are adjacent the ends and extend beyond the plates to wedge against the channel sides as a screw draws the plates together and moves the legs of the V shaped member toward each other.

  • Patent number: 7079626
Abstract: A system and method for imputing data into a database includes an imputing system operable to impute data based on outside plant construction principles. The imputing system includes an inventory database, a data engine, a search engine, and a loop engine. The inventory database includes a plurality of distribution records each associated with one or more cable pairs. The data engine determines if a desired distribution record corresponding to a desired cable pair includes missing data. The search engine searches a known class of serving terminals for complete distribution records and iteratively searches a sized binder group within the inventory database for one or more complete distribution records where the size of the binder group searched increases with each iterative search. The loop engine determines an imputed value for the desired distribution record based on the searching and imputes the value into the desired distribution record.

  • Publication number: 20050006535
Abstract: A clamp assembly releasably secures a plumbing pipe to a support. The assembly has a clamp base releasably connected to a clamping block by pawls that releasably engage a pair of ratchet arms extending from the base. Each of the base and clamping block has two inclined surfaces forming a generally V-shaped notch that opens toward the pipe. A cap is optionally placed over one or both of the V-shaped notches and is interposed between the notch and the pipe. At least one resilient leg or a flange may extend from the base opposite the ratchet arms, with the flange and/or the arms resiliently engaging opposite sides of the support to hold the clamp assembly in position.

  • Patent number: 6375017
Abstract: A tubing organizer apparatus includes a body member that extends radially outwardly from a central axis. The body member has opposite surfaces and a peripheral wall that is disposed between the opposite surfaces to define a thickness and extends circumferentially about the central axis. The peripheral wall includes a plurality of exterior wall segments facing outwardly relative to the central axis and a plurality of interior wall segments connected to the exterior wall segments. The plurality of interior wall segments are configured to form a corresponding plurality of notches extending inwardly between consecutive ones of the exterior wall segments and into the body member relative to the central axis. The tubing organizer apparatus might also include a support structure sized and adapted for rotatably mounting the body member thereto.

  • Patent number: 6138278
Abstract: A medical gown and drape are disclosed in which regions thereof are imprinted with performance enhancing coatings. The gown has regions in the chest and sleeve areas imprinted with a liquid repellent coating to protect the wearer from fluids. The drape preferably has an absorbent or super absorbent coating surrounding a fenestration through which an operation may occur. The drape may also have regions coated with water repellent or friction enhancing materials. The gown further has adhesive closures rather than ties.

  • Patent number: 4856120
Abstract: A dive mask of the purge valve-type that comprises a deflector affixed to the lower front surface thereof for channeling air bubbles expelled during purging to the sides of the mask to avoid interference with the diver's vision. A plurality of vertical and horizontal spacers are also provided to assure the availability of a free flow air channel between the deflector and the remaining structure of the mask. In the preferred embodiment disclosed herein, the deflector is ornamentally shaped to enhance the styling and physical appearance of the overall mask structure.

  • Patent number: 4668016
Abstract: A crawler track mounted mining machine having a frame and an adjustable jib carrying an endless cutting chain having cutters and loading flights mounted on the frame. A bridge on the frame and spaced arms having one end pivotally connected to the bridge and the other end supporting a front plate upon which the jib is adjustably mounted by a rotatable bearing supporting a cross member which carries hinges pivotally supporting the jib. Hydraulic rams extend between the cross member and the jib to rotate the jib between a vertical position and a horizontal position and a hydraulic ram extends between the rotatable bearing and the front plate to rotate the front plate and the jib in a horizontal plane between a position perpendicular to the crawler tracks and a position parallel to the crawler tracks. Hydraulic rams extend between the bridge and the arms to raise and lower the arms and the jib relative to the frame.

  • Patent number: 4227521
Abstract: A scuba diver uses air not only for breathing, but also to inflate a buoyancy jacket or vest. A single mechanism controls the flow of air for buoyancy and for breathing. The mechanism is held by a mouthpiece and includes (1) a demand regulator, (2) a breathing chamber between the regulator and the mouthpiece, (3) a pruge or one way exhaust valve connected to the breathing chamber, (4) a buoyancy chamber communicating with an inflation/deflation hose for the jacket or vest, (5) a first manual control valve for sending relatively high pressure air to the buoyancy chamber and (6) a second composite manual control valve that in its initial position opens the buoyancy chamber to the breathing chamber for exhaust of air through the purge valve and consequent deflation of the buoyancy jacket or vest, and that in its final position closes the purge valve for oral inflation or emergency breathing.
