    Abstract: Described is a process for screening genomic DNA samples for inherited conditions comprising selectively amplifying a portion of the genomic DNA using a primer that is substantially complementary to the portion but may have at least one mismatch nucleotide at or near one end. If the portion is amplified, hybridizing a probe to it, then, attaching the hybridized probe complex to a solid support and detecting the complex, if any.
