  • Patent number: 9244682
Abstract: Idle detection techniques are disclosed. A set of idle conditions that includes one or more conditions not comprising or triggered by an absence of user input is monitored. The device is determined to be idle based at least in part on results of the monitoring. The device may be determined not to be idle even in the absence of recent user input.

  • Publication number: 20140331703
Abstract: Improved air-conditioning system having an assembly of constituent elements comprising a water solenoid box with a control switch, the solenoid box being connected to the electrical system of the condenser unit; water filter means to purify the water flowing into the solenoid box; a main water supply line, extending from the solenoid box to the condenser housing unit and affixed, circumferentially around the exterior periphery of the housing unit; and a plurality of distribution tubes (micro-tubing) each extending downwardly from the main water supply line and terminating in a micro spray cap, the spray cap being adjustable to control spray pattern and flow rate. Water, dispersed from each of the micro spray caps positioned around the periphery of the condenser unit, lowers the temperature and pressure of the compressor and lowers the RLA of the compressor.

  • Patent number: 8819427
Abstract: Device-specific secure software licensing techniques are disclosed. In various embodiments, a key/token pair associated with a client requesting license validation is received. It is determined whether the key/token pair matches an entry in a store of currently valid key/token pairs. An affirmative response is sent in the event the key/token pair matches a corresponding entry in the store of currently valid key/token pairs.

  • Patent number: 5763862
Abstract: A dual card smart card reader including a portable housing with a viewing aperture and a virtual image display positioned to provide an image at the aperture. A sensor in the housing constructed to have a first smart card with data stored thereon positioned adjacent thereto in data sensing juxtaposition and a second smart card with access data stored thereon positioned adjacent thereto in data sensing juxtaposition. The second smart card serving as a security feature and allowing for access and/or editing to certain information contained on the first smart card. Electronics mounted in the housing and connected to the sensor for receiving sensed data and sensed access data and further connected to the virtual image display for supplying image data thereto.
