  • Patent number: 8816827
Abstract: A method and a data carrier for contactless communication of a reading device with at least two communication-ready applications located on a portable data carrier. A first communication-readiness signal is generated for a first application and sent to the reading device, the signal having a first identification number that is assigned to the first application and indicates to the reading device the communication readiness of said first application, and a second communication-readiness signal is generated and sent for a second application, the second signal having a second identification number different from the first identification number, which is assigned to said second application and indicates to the reading device the communication readiness of the second application. The identification numbers simulate for the reading device the communication readiness of a data carrier in each case. The reading device thus has the impression of communicating with applications of two separate data carriers.

  • Patent number: 8581706
Abstract: A method and a data carrier for contactless, in particular parallel, communication of a reading device with at least two communication-ready applications located on a portable data carrier. A first communication-readiness signal is generated for a first application and sent to the reading device, the signal having a first identification number that is assigned to the first application and indicates to the reading device the communication readiness of said first application, and a second communication-readiness signal is generated and sent for a second application, the second signal having a second identification number different from the first identification number, which is assigned to said second application and indicates to the reading device the communication readiness of said second application. • Patent number: 7788419
Abstract: A method is proposed for automatically installing an auxiliary unit (30) on a computer (10) that is not yet prepared for the auxiliary unit (30). Upon connecting a new auxiliary unit (30) to the computer a registration routine (18) is carried out, within which operating routines (24) required for operating the auxiliary unit (30) are installed, after whose installation the auxiliary unit (30) is switchable from a basic mode to an auxiliary-unit specific operation mode. If the operating routines (24) are not yet present in the computer (10), they are first transmitted to it by the auxiliary unit (30). According to the invention it is determined whether a required operating routine (24) has to be transmitted by installing a background process (20) on the computer (10) which, upon the connection of an auxiliary unit (30), checks whether identification information (50) re-transmitted to the computer (10) upon request is already stored on the computer (10).

  • Publication number: 20090199206
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an accordingly set tip data carrier for contactless, in particular parallel, communication of a reading device (200) with at least two communication-ready applications (10, 20, 30) located on a portable data carrier (100). A first communication-readiness signal is generated for a first application (10, 20, 30) and sent to the reading device (200), the signal comprising a first identification number that is assigned to the first application (10, 20, 30) and indicates to the reading device (200) the communication readiness of said first application, and a second communication-readiness signal is generated and sent for a second application (10, 20, 30), the second signal comprising a second identification number different from tie first identification number, which is assigned to said second application and indicates to the reading device (200) the communication readiness of said second application.

  • Patent number: 6834370
Abstract: A method is provided for automatically creating a set of master recipes from a general recipe using site information. Each master recipe includes a plurality of recipe segments. The general recipe includes a plurality of process actions. Each master recipe is for manufacturing at least one product from at least one input material by performing the process actions on the at least one input material. Each master recipe is for use with a specific set of equipment in a process cell. Each process action has one or more corresponding recipe segments that implement the process action on the set of equipment. The general recipe describes how to manufacture the at least one product from the at least one input material by performing the process actions on the at least one input material. The general recipe is independent of equipment. The method includes a first step of creating a list of recipe segments from the general recipe and the site information.
