  • Patent number: 9299111
Abstract: A method implemented in a network component, the method comprising receiving a presence information message from a presence server in a ring of a plurality of presence servers, removing content in the presence information message that is previously originated by the network component and previously sent on the ring, copying the presence information message locally for subsequent processing, appending to the presence information message buffered presence information from a local client coupled to the network component, and forwarding the presence information message to a second presence server in the ring.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 4, 2012
Date of Patent: March 29, 2016
    Assignee: Futurewei Technologies, Inc.
Inventors: Frederick P. Block, Dennis C. Episkopos
  • Patent number: 8707452
Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems for managing sensitive data are provided. The management tool may be provided on a user input device, as opposed to being provided in memory or in a peripheral that can be read from a program running on a computing platform. The management tool may be maintained in a read/write isolation mode where no data is transmitted outside of the management tool unless the user input device is disengaged from the computing platform, at which point data may be transmitted from the management tool for ultimate delivery to the computing platform.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: April 22, 2014
    Assignee: Avaya Inc.

  • Publication number: 20140004839
Abstract: A method for transferring a data stream between devices on a network is initiated by one of the devices. The devices on the network include a first device requesting the transfer and a second device currently receiving the data stream via the network. The method steps include a first device determining a proximity to a second device. The method steps also include the first device initiating a command to terminate a data stream received by the second device via a network when the proximity is below a threshold; and the first device initiating a command to transfer the data stream via the network so that the data stream is received by the first device.

  • Patent number: 7945898
Abstract: The present invention is directed to automatically analyzing software systems for identifying faults or bugs and/or detection of malicious code. In various embodiments, the present invention measures code coverage for high priority invocable program elements, uses a relaxed coverage estimation technique that, instead of guaranteeing which code units will be executed, guarantees that at least a certain number of code units will be executed, determines and solves constraints in code to identify infeasible paths containing one or more selected nodes, determines, for a composite data type, a range of values for each of at least two non-composite data fields, and/or translates, prior to code analysis complex code into simpler code having fewer operators.

Date of Patent: May 17, 2011
    Assignee: Avaya Inc.
Inventors: Dennis C. Episkopos, Deborah Jeanne Hill, J. Jenny Li, Howell S. Yee, David M. Weiss
