  • Patent number: 9173385
Abstract: A fishing lure is provided which includes a jig, a hook integrally formed within the jig, and a number of pellets retained within the jig. The jig includes a male portion and a female portion, each of which has a blind cavity formed therein. The male portion and the female portion are press-fitted together such that the blind cavities form a single, internal cavity within the jig which is configured to retain the number of pellets. The male portion of the jig also includes a groove configured to accept the hook therein. The groove is configured such that the hook is retained within the jig when the male portion and the female portion are press-fitted together. The groove includes a bend portion configured to retain the hook in tension. The groove also includes an exposed portion that is in fluid communication with the internal cavity.

  • Patent number: 5809282
Abstract: A system for selecting options for modifying a network architecture in accordance with user preferences using a knowledge base and a database. The knowledge base includes rules to select modification categories and the database includes information on a plurality of equipment and a plurality of tariffs. To select the options, the system generates a base-line simulation from the network architecture, which base-line simulation includes performance data on the network architecture under a predetermined scenario. Modification categories based on the user preferences are selected using rules in the knowledge base, and equipment information and tariff information corresponding to the network modification categories are selected from the database to create modification options for the network modification categories. The modification options are evaluated using rules in the knowledge base.

  • Patent number: 4533417
Abstract: A method of making insulated wires or cables in which a tube of crystallizable polymeric material is first extruded over size on the wire, cooled until it can be gripped and then reheated and stretched to produce crystalline orientation and to collapse it into contact with the wire is distinguished by first holding the tube at a temperature between its glass transition temperature and its crystalline melting point long enough for the degree of crystallinity to be significantly increased. Physical properties after orientation are considerably improved.

  • Patent number: 4377956
Abstract: A pipe extractor tool has been devised for use in removal of broken pipe sections, such as, the riser in a sprinkler system and includes cams formed at the lower end of a hollow shank through which a push rod is inserted, the cams being movable under the urging of the push rod in a generally radially outward direction into firm gripping engagement with the inner wall of the pipe section to be removed so that a twist or torque can be applied to the tool to unthread and remove the broken pipe section.
