  • Patent number: 5933656
Abstract: A federated system comprising a plurality of input/output circuit card assemblies and a Firewire or other daisy-chainable bus that provides low latency communication between a host computer and peripheral devices. A single circuit card assembly is used to interface to each peripheral device, and communication between the host computer and peripheral device may be made using a plurality of different communication protocols. The input/output circuit card assembly is daisy-chainable and incorporates circuitry that implements a bus constructed to Firewire (IEEE-1394) and other electrical specifications.

  • Patent number: 5907416
Abstract: A wide field-of-view simulator heads-up display provides images to a user along an optical axis. A HUD CRT provides images of a predetermined design wavelength, while rear projection screen CRTs provide out-of-window scenery that does not contain the predetermined design wavelength. A curved holographic combiner is mounted on the optical axis with a reflective hologram on a concave surface covered with a urethane overcoat. The convex surface has an antireflective coating. A tilted beamsplitter cooperates with a folding mirror in a relay optical system for providing a virtual image of the HUD CRT for reflection from the holographic combiner.

  • Patent number: 5672400
Abstract: The present invention provides a microelectronic assembly wherein a semi-crystalline copolymer adhesive composition, preferably provided in the form of a film, is used to electrically interconnect a first circuit pattern on a first substrate to a second circuit pattern on a second substrate. The adhesive composition preferably includes a semi-crystalline copolymer comprising polyether and polyamide monomeric units, a tackifier, and conductive particles.

  • Patent number: 5443903
Abstract: A hot melt stick that includes a core of a moisture-curable hot melt composition and a moisture-resistant shell coaxial with the core. The shell includes one or more ethylene-containing copolymers that are compatible with the core upon melting. The hot melt stick is adapted for delivery to the melting chamber of a hot melt applicator.

  • Patent number: 5420940
Abstract: A method for improving CGSI imaging system throughput by selectively decimating rows and/or columns of object image data prior to warp transformation in order to more closely approach a 1:1 compression ratio. The best results are produced on compressed object image data prior to decompression.

  • Patent number: 5315692
Abstract: A computer-controlled imaging system for providing a realistic representation of a three-dimensional scene on a two-dimensional medium in which multiple objects, viewed from several aspects and which may be combined informing a scene, are stored in digital form on mass storage device is allocated amongst plural channels. A field-of-view computer controls the read out of the stored objects into a buffer memory where they become available for processing by a pipeline processor which is capable of warping the image in accordance with instructions from the field-of-view computer. These images in each channel are then arranged in an order of range from a viewer whereby more remote images are occluded by closer images. The images from all channels are then fed in raster scan format to a scene construction module where CGSI and special effects can be added to the composite scene prior to being fed to video display equipment.

  • Patent number: 5310803
Abstract: A hot-melt composition comprising an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, an ethylene/n-butyl acrylate copolymer, and a tackifying resin can be spread into a thin layer that has a limited open time of at least 5 seconds. The composition eventually crystallizes to form a creep-resistant bond.
