    Abstract: A fixture for filling a hypodermic syringe includes a vial support and a finger flange support that are substantially coplanar with each other. The vial support holds a vial while the needle of a hypodermic syringe is inserted through the top of the vial. The syringe is then positioned so that the plunger side of one of the finger flanges engages a finger flange support. The finger flange support resists movement of the syringe while the plunger is withdrawn, filling the barrel of the syringe from the vial. The vial and needle are at least partially supported throughout the filling process.
