  • Publication number: 20220307476
Abstract: A wind turbine having a wake control system that is configured so as to control the wind turbine on the basis of wake effects caused at a further wind turbine, wherein the wake control system is configured so as to achieve control based on a turbulence measured value from a turbulence measurement sensor of the further wind turbine. A wind turbine having a turbulence measurement sensor that is configured so as to determine a turbulence measured value, wherein the turbulence measured value is indicative of a turbulence and/or wind shear at the wind turbine, wherein the wind turbine is configured so as to provide the turbulence measured value in order to control the wind turbine and/or a further wind turbine. A wake control system for a wind turbine, but also an improved wind farm and an improved method for controlling a wind turbine and a wind farm.

  • Publication number: 20190234829
Abstract: A measuring system for determining a torsion of a rotor blade, comprising a reference shaft to be arranged in the rotor blade in the longitudinal direction of the blade, at least one support for the reference shaft, for freely bearing the reference shaft in the rotor blade, so that the rotor blade can twist freely about the reference shaft, so that the reference shaft does not twist when there is twisting of the rotor blade, at least one rotary sensor, arranged on the reference shaft, for detecting a twisting of the rotor blade about the reference shaft in the region of the rotary sensor, the rotary sensor outputting a rotational angle describing the twisting of the rotor blade in relation to the reference shaft, or some other corresponding variable. A method for determining a torsion of a rotor blade, a corresponding rotor blade, a method for arranging a measuring system in a rotor blade and a corresponding wind power installation with a rotor blade and also or alternatively a measuring system.

  • Publication number: 20070226976
Abstract: An improved ultrasound transducer assembly, e.g. a thickness-mode transducer assembly includes a plurality of elements comprising piezoelectric material, and a backing material disposed adjacent to a back surface of the plurality of elements. The piezoelectric material and backing material define at least a portion of a side surface, wherein an electrically conductive material is disposed upon and in contact with at least a portion of the side surface. The elements may comprise one or a plurality of front electrodes, and one or a plurality of back electrodes, wherein the front electrode(s) is electrically interconnected to the electrically conductive material disposed on the side surface portion. In a mass processing method, a plurality of thickness-mode ultrasound probe transducer assemblies may be produced, wherein a plurality of interconnected transducer subassemblies comprising a mass backing are processed in tandem.

  • Publication number: 20070145158
Abstract: A system and method for providing a substantially constant volume exhaust or ventilation air terminal system is shown for controlling exhaust and/or return airflow rates in a system having a central fan or ventilator. The system and method permits zone-by-zone or area-by-area airflow regulation or control in non-demand areas in response to a demand or call for ventilation in demand areas. In one embodiment, the system employs at least one constant airflow controller or regulator situated in a damper. Another embodiment shows a combination of a first regulator constant airflow controller or regulator situated or mounted on a damper with a second constant airflow controller or regulator situated in a duct associated with the damper. In still another embodiment, a constant airflow controller or regulator is provided in a duct, and used in combination with a solid damper.
