  • Patent number: 9723914
Abstract: A removable brush apparatus is configured to be attached to a user's existing footwear to enable the user to effectively and easily brush away dirt or debris from a surface without the need for a separate brush or for the user to bend over to reach the surface. The brush apparatus is formed by a housing having a plurality of bristles provided on a base surface thereof and having an engagement area for interfacing with the user's footwear. The engagement area may take the form of apertures for threading shoelaces, or may have a pair of slots and a securing strap capable of adjusting the size of the housing in order to effect a secure fit to the footwear.

  • Patent number: 8032969
Abstract: An attachable brush for footwear, particularly suited for an umpire to clean dirt from home plate during a baseball game is herein disclosed. The footwear comprises a bristle portion along one (1) side and sized approximately one (1) inch wide and four (4) inches long, with the bristle portions being approximately one (1) inch. The brush body is attached to the footwear by means of a flap made of leather or similar resilient material. The flap is attached to the top of the brush body and is removably attached to the footwear by use of eyelets that would be interlocked with the shoelaces on the footwear. This enables the umpire to slightly lift his foot, allowing the brush to hang down, and sweep it back and forth over the home plate area. Its positioning would not allow it to interfere with walking or other activities when not being used.

  • Patent number: 4052878
Abstract: This invention relates to a novel tubing bender characterized by a horizontal bed atop which is mounted a template and a fixed block mounting a hollow tubular slide member for non-rotatable longitudinal slidable movement. The tube, in turn, mounts a longitudinally adjustable combination stop and slide support mechanism which selectively engages notches in the template to maintain the tube in longitudinally adjusted position relative to the block. A bending head is mounted on the end of the tubular member for rotatable adjustment relative thereto. The tube is slotted longitudinally both top and bottom to house internally an externally actuated vise mechanism that remains fixed relative to the block atop which it is mounted while the tube and bending head move as a unit longitudinally thereof.
