  • Patent number: 10712090
Abstract: Systems and methods for drying or bonding materials are described. A material to be dried or bonded may be passed through a through air dryer (TAD) (or other dryer). Some of the air output by a TAD may be recirculated to be passed back through material. As the air is recirculated, it is heated and mixed to a desired temperature for drying or bonding. A separate hot air injection system may heat ambient air and/or air exhausted by the TAD and inject the heated air into the recirculated air.

  • Patent number: 10696469
Abstract: Generally, the present disclosure relates to a carton for dispensing compressed tissue sheets comprising a carton having an oversized carton opening and a compressed stack of tissues, such as facial tissues. The compressed carton can significantly reduce costs associated with shipping such low density products. The oversized carton opening permits the compressed stack of tissues to expand, releasing the compression of the tissue stack and allowing the tissues to be dispensed normally.

  • Patent number: 10628174
Abstract: A configuration control transfer (“CCT”) system controls the transferring of control of configuration information of a device from a current configuration source to a target configuration source. A CCT server of the CCT system may send to the device a message requesting the configuration information of the device. In response, a CCT client of the CCT system collects the configuration information of the device and sends the collected configuration information to the CCT server. If the second configuration source can support the configuration information of the current configuration source, the CCT server requests that the device transfer control of the configuration information from the current configuration source to the target configuration source. The CCT client then transfers control of the configuration information to the target configuration source as the new current configuration source and un-enrolls the device from the former current configuration source.

  • Patent number: 10442594
Abstract: Generally, the present disclosure relates to a carton for tissue products comprising a carton and an overwrapped compressed stack of tissues, such as facial tissues. The compressed carton can significantly reduce costs associated with shipping such low density products. The overwrapped compressed stack of tissues has a tear strip, which permits the compressed stack of tissues to expand, releasing the compression of the tissue stack and allowing the tissues to be dispensed normally.

  • Patent number: 10216297
Abstract: A flexible, scalable hardware input device for interacting with a variety of devices ranging from a phone, to a media playback device to a steering wheel or a tablet PC is provided. The input device includes a set of mechanical input controls, each mapping to one or more independent functions and a set of touch sensitive input control areas (e.g., capacitive), where each touch sensitive input control area receives touch input independently. In addition, one or more of the touch sensitive input control areas interchangeably overlay one or more of the mechanical input controls, whereby interaction with the touch sensitive input control areas is processed together to determine a corresponding function for controlling the application, service or computing device.

  • Patent number: 10212622
Abstract: Push to talk (PTT) devices that communicate packet-based voice communications are disclosed. An example PTT device receives voice packets via a packet-based communication network from another PTT device. Voice information in the received voice packets are used to reconstruct the voice communication. The receiving PTT device is able to identify an occurrence of at least one delayed, corrupted or lost voice packet, and then communicate a packet re-transmit request to the other PTT device requesting a replacement voice packet that has a portion of the voice communication that is identical to the voice communication portion of the delayed, corrupted or lost voice packet. The voice communication may then be repaired based on the received replacement voice packet. While the voice communication is being repaired, a comfort tone may be generated so that the listener of the PTT device understands that the voice communication is being repaired.

  • Patent number: 8877752
Abstract: Provided are 4(1H)-quinolone derivatives effective in inhibiting or eliminating the viability of at least one of the stages in the life-cycle of the malarial parasite, and to show a reduced propensity to induce resistance to the compound by the target parasite. In particular, the compounds can be derivatives of phenoxyethoxy-quinolones, and including, but not only, 7-(2-phenoxyethoxy)quinolin derivatives. These compounds may be administered by themselves, with at least one other derivative compound, or with other antimalarial compounds, to an animal or human subject. The therapeutic compositions can be and formulated to reduce the extent of a Plasmodium infection in the recipient subject, or to reduce the likelihood of the onset or establishment of a Plasmodium infection if administered prior to the parasite contacting the subject. The therapeutic compositions can be formulated to provide an effective single dose amount of an antimalarial compound or multiple doses for administering over a period of time.
