    Abstract: The system and method of the present invention relate to characterizing lipoproteins in a sample. The system includes a light source that delivers electromagnetic energy in a predetermined range of wavelengths to the sample and a sensor that senses an intensity spectrum which emerges from the sample when the sample is illuminated by the light source. A processor characterizes lipoproteins that are within in the sample by deconvoluting the intensity spectrum into a scattering spectrum and absorption spectrum. The method includes illuminating the sample with electromagnetic energy having a predetermined range of wavelengths and sensing the electromagnetic energy that emerges from the sample. The method further includes transducing the sensed electromagnetic energy which emerges from the sample into an intensity spectrum that determines the types of lipoproteins that are within the sample.

The network also includes a data allocation and processing module including means for receiving the response signal, and means for generating and directing an output signal to the at least one outside source, wherein the module is responsive to the response signal, and wherein the availability of the information to the at least one outside source is responsive to the privacy input.

    Abstract: A wireless healthcare monitoring system and method are provided. At least one UWB biosensor transmitter is assigned to at least one individual to be remotely monitored. The biosensor transmitter includes a biosensor disposed to detect a health condition of a user and generate a corresponding biosensor reading. The reading is converted by the biosensor transmitter to an ultra wideband (UWB) biosensor signal transmitted by the biosensor transmitter. A UWB receiver disposed remote from and within range of the transmitter receives and converts the UWB biosensor signal to a signal containing information from the biosensor reading. A processor in communication with the UWB receiver processes and displays the converted signal as a readable output indicating a health condition of the user detected by the biosensor.

Upon attachment of a target analyte to select areas of the plastic film upon which the protein is printed, diffraction of transmitted and/or reflected light occurs via the physical dimensions and defined, precise placement of the analyte.     Abstract: A disposable absorbent product which includes a chemically reactive means having an end point adapted to provide a visual indication of the presence of a substance in mammalian bodily excrement, wherein the chemically reactive means is adapted to: (A) to provide the visual indication as a result of interacting with the mammalian bodily excrement; (B) the end point of the chemically reactive means is adapted to be reached within a period of time which begins with the first insult of the chemically reactive means by the substance and ends when the disposable absorbent product is discarded; and (C) the chemically reactive means is adapted to have a stable end-point, such that the visual indication remains valid within a period of time which begins when the end point is reached and ends no sooner than when the disposable absorbent product is discarded. If desired, the chemically reactive means can be adapted to provide a visual indication of the approximate concentration of the substance.
