  • Publication number: 20250017415
Abstract: A cooking device and method that allow food, including eggs, to be cooked in a microwave or rapid cook oven are provided. The device includes a base having at least one receptacle with a base surface, the base having a susceptor that is embedded in a first insulator and positioned to be in thermal contact with the base surface, and at least one yolk cap having a phase change material embedded in a third insulator that is in thermal contact with the bottom surface of the yolk cap. The yolk cap is sized and shaped to cover at least a portion of the receptacle. A lid having a top surface, a bottom surface, a second insulator and at least one shield that is embedded in the second insulator and shaped to cover the receptacle is provided. The bottom surface of the lid is sized and shaped to cover the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 7140089
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention is a compact, low-cost, lightweight, versatile and easy-to-operate, processor-controlled carving and multi-purpose shaping device (“PCCMPS machine”). The PCCMPS machine that represents one embodiment of the present invention is configured, in part, similarly to common, commercially available portable wood planers and ubiquitous laser and ink-jet computer printers, with work pieces fed into the PCCMPS machine in a horizontal direction. The PCCMPS machine includes a motor-powered cutting head that can power detachable bits to drill, cut, shape, and rout a work piece under processor and computer control. The cutting head may be translated, under processor control, back and forth across the surface of the work piece in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the work piece is fed into the PCCMPS machine and moved by motor-powered rollers.

  • Patent number: 4788382
Abstract: A duplex glass preform for forming hermetic glass-to-metal seals of the compression type. The duplex glass preform comprises a glass infrasturcture or matrix having at least one end thereof modified by the selective distribution therein of ceramic particles. The ceramic particles are selectively distributed to form a ceramic density gradient having the largest concentration of ceramic particles at the surface and gradually decreasing with depth. The duplex glass preform of the present invention has utility in forming glass-to-metal compression seals in hybrid metal packages containing microcircuit chips. The duplex glass preform may be used in the normal insulative fashion or as a conductive member.
