Patent number: 11946462Abstract: Hydraulic axial piston unit having a rotational group for driving or being driven by a driving shaft, and a tiltable displacement element for adjusting the displacement volume of the rotational group. The rotational group includes a rotatable cylinder block in which working pistons are mounted reciprocally moveable in cylinder bores for conveying hydraulic fluid from an inlet port to an outlet port on a valve segment. At least two control ports are located on the valve segment each between the inlet port and the outlet port. The control ports can be brought sequentially in fluid connection with the cylinder bores when the cylinder block is rotating. At least one hydraulic fluid injector is connected fluidly to one control port, for sequentially injecting pressurized hydraulic fluid via the control port into the passing cylinder bores. Via the other control port hydraulic fluid can be drained from passing cylinder bores.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2019Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: DANFOSS POWER SOLUTIONS, INC.Inventors: Jaromir Tvaruzek, Samuel Hall, Phil Evans, Dennis Greene

The rotational group includes a rotatable cylinder block in which working pistons are mounted reciprocally moveable in cylinder bores for conveying hydraulic fluid from a kidney-shaped inlet port to a kidney-shaped outlet port on a valve segment. At least two control ports are located on the valve segment each between the respective circumferential ends of the kidney-shaped inlet port and the outlet port. The control ports can be brought sequentially in fluid connection with the cylinder bores when the cylinder block is rotating. At least one hydraulic fluid injector is connected fluidly to one control port, for sequentially injecting pressurized hydraulic fluid via the control port into the passing cylinder bores. Publication number: 20050271486Abstract: A low torque tap includes a shank portion with a driving square and a thread cutting portion. The thread cutting portion includes a threaded body with one or more asymmetrical straight flutes that run essentially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the tap. The thread cutting portion also includes one or more short angular flutes or spiral points and a tapered chamfer. For tapping steel alloys, the cutting edges of the straight flutes and the spiral points have a rake or chordal hook angle of between about 5 and 15 degrees. For tapping ferrous materials, the tap is made from molybdenum-enriched high-speed steel and may be coated with a wear-resistant, friction-reducing layer. A second, outer layer, such as molybdenum disulfide, may be applied over the wear-reducing layer for further reduction in friction. For tapping non-ferrous materials, the tap may be coated with a layer of material containing carbon.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 7, 2004Publication date: December 8, 2005Inventors: Willard Henderer, Alan Barrows, Steven Burns, Dennis Greene

Publication number: 20050067341Abstract: A method is provided for the continuous production of treated waters using a staged, tapered array membrane plant by a process of process-logic-controlled (PLC) stage or stage increment isolation and removal from service, washing and return-to-service concurrent with the continued operation of all other stages and/or stage increments of the plant. Specifically, there are plant mounted input/output sensors that supply the PLC with the data required to identify the location and degree of “fouling” of the individual stages or stage increments of a tapered array membrane water treatment plant, where fouling is defined as a loss of water flow through a membrane surface at a given pressure when compared to a water flow standard for the surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2004Publication date: March 31, 2005Inventors: Dennis Green, George Piegols, John Lombardi, Gary Herbert

Publication number: 20050050623Abstract: A water closet flange hub assembly for use with a floor. The assembly includes an annular base having a central through opening and which is mounted to the floor. A water closet hub includes a tubular and cylindrical pipe which is dimensioned to be slidably and adjustably positioned within the base opening. The hub also includes an outwardly extending toilet mounting flange at one end of the pipe. A fluid seal is disposed between the pipe of the water closet hub and the annular base to fluidly seal the base and hub together at an adjusted position of the water closet hub. The water closet hub is then secured to the floor by fasteners.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 7, 2004Publication date: March 10, 2005Inventor: Dennis Greene
