    Abstract: In a text to speech converter, ASCII text is first transformed into phoneme parameters using for example Hunnicutt rules. Glottal waveform digital samples are generated at a rate greater than Nyquist, thereby allowing low-pass filtering and down-sampling before being combined with aspiration and fricative digitized waveforms.
