  • Publication number: 20190029418
Abstract: The disclosure refers to a container for storing and providing at least one modular road paver assembly designed for detachable mounting on a road paver. The container comprises a storage system by means of which individual components of the road paver assembly can be positioned within the container in a standardized arrangement, such that the components of the road paver assembly can be checked for completeness by an operator by means of a visual inspection along a sequence determined between opposite boundaries of the container in view of their assembly sequence on the road paver.

  • Patent number: 9033611
Abstract: Road paver with a towing machine and a movable screed and with a measuring device that is provided for determining a layer thickness of a road pavement that has been newly laid by the screed. The measuring device is formed to determine the layer thickness at an intended location, seen relative to a direction of travel, behind a rear edge of the screed, whereby the measuring device is provided on the road paver such that the layer thickness can be determined independently of a geometric shape and/or a movement of the screed.

Date of Patent: May 19, 2015
    Assignee: JOSEPH VOGELE AG
    Inventors: Dennis Hanfland, Ralf Weiser
  • Patent number: 8702344
Abstract: A road paver with a layer thickness measuring device which comprises a plurality of sensors in order to measure a distance to the subgrade or to the road pavement. The layer thickness measuring device is mounted rotatably on the road paver or on its screed, whereby the layer thickness measuring device has an equilibrium position at a stipulated angle to the horizontal that it retains or to which it returns even if the inclination of the road paver or of the screed to the horizontal changes.

Date of Patent: April 22, 2014
    Assignee: Joseph Vogele AG

  • Patent number: 8696237
Abstract: A road paver with a movable screed and with a layer thickness measuring device, which includes at least two sensors. The sensors are formed to carry out a distance measurement to the paving plane at intervals to determine a distance between the sensor and a point on the surface of the plane, said point being registered by the sensor. One of the two sensors defines a coordinate system. The layer thickness measuring device is formed to add as vectors the distance to the plane measured by the sensor that defines the coordinate system and a movement, relative to the plane and resulting from the driving of the road paver, of the coordinate system that is defined by the one sensor. In this way, a first vector can be determined which, together with a second vector, is used by the measuring device for determining the layer thickness of the laying material.
