    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a pellet gun that comprises a gun and a cartridge. The cartridge is selectively positionable at the breach end of the barrel and includes an opening configured to selectively hold a pellet. The cartridge is also located inside the pellet gun such that when the cartridge is selectively holding the pellet the pellet is located in the barrel, and is selectively filled with a pressurized gas. The trigger initiates engagement with the cartridge to cause the gas in the cartridge to be exerted against the pellet which is fired through the barrel.

A linkage arm is configured to engage the slot portion of the feed cylinder such that linear movement of the linkage arm rotates the feed cylinder to move the pellet to a firing position.

    Abstract: Apparatus for firing a projectile comprises a receiver, a barrel, a supply of combustible gas, a combustion chamber, a valve arrangement for controlling flow of combustible gas from the supply to the combustion chamber, an igniter, and a passageway for directing combustion gases from the chamber to propel a projectile from the apparatus. In one embodiment, the barrel has a longitudinally-extending central axis, and the combustion chamber is disposed laterally adjacent the axis. A method of operating the apparatus comprises the steps of providing a combustible mixture of gas and air to the combustion chamber, igniting the mixture so as to generate combustion gases, allowing pressure in the combustion chamber to increase to a predetermined level, and releasing the gases from the combustion chamber and directing the gases to propel the projectile through the barrel.

    Abstract: An ammunition feed mechanism for an automatic or semiautomatic weapon which includes a mechanism for retarding the cyclic feeding of ammunition into the chamber of the weapon. The mechanism for retarding the cyclic feeding of ammunition includes an impeder which engages the bolt of the weapon. The ammunition feed mechanism also includes a magazine having a ramped bottom which directs ammunition projectiles to an exit therein where the ammunition projectiles are fed into the chamber of the weapon. The magazine includes a plurality of curved projections in the bottom which define a plurality of spaces into which the ammunition projectiles are received. The plurality of curved projections also guide the ammunition projectiles through the exit.
