  • Publication number: 20200343991
Abstract: A satellite payload system is presented. The system includes plurality of optical processing modules, including a plurality of ring-connected optical processing modules and at least one inter-satellite optical processing module, and at least one optical fiber ring communicatively coupled to each of the ring-connected optical processing modules. At least one of the ring-connected optical processing modules is configured to provide on-board signal processing of signals conveyed on the at least one optical fiber ring. At least one of the ring-connected optical processing modules is communicatively coupled to a respective inter-satellite optical processing module. Each inter-satellite optical processing module is configured to optically communicatively couple to a respective remote satellite.

  • Patent number: 10483654
Abstract: An antenna platter comprises a plurality of antenna elements arranged as a thin array according to a polygonal grid. The polygonal grid comprises a plurality of paired polygons arranged symmetrically about a central polygon of the grid. In each polygon of the grid, the plurality of antenna elements is arranged in symmetrical pairs about a center point such that the first and second antenna elements of each symmetrical pair are complex conjugates of one another.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 5, 2018
Date of Patent: November 19, 2019
    Assignee: The Boeing Company
Inventors: Paul C. Werntz, Dennis L. Gould, Patrick K. Bailleul, Brian M. Park, Andre C. Houle, Raenaurd D. Turpin

  • Patent number: 7154968
Abstract: An automatic level control circuit exhibits a closed loop response that does not change as a function input power operating point. This allows the designer to set the closed loop response and have that response held fixed with respect to input power operating point. The loop response depends solely on the loop error and the loop gain. The loop error is scaled with the iterative loop stress signal.
