    Abstract: An umbrella with a pistol-shaped handle comprised of a self opening umbrella frame attached to a tubular umbrella shaft connected to a handle portion which is in the shape of a pistol wherein the handle contains a trigger mechanism for opening the umbrella. The umbrella with pistol-shaped handle is useful as a novelty item and can operate in a fashion similar to conventional self-opening umbrellas.
