  • Publication number: 20120171077
Abstract: Systems and methods for decontaminating a facility, for example, in response to a biological attack. An exclusion zone, a support zone, and a contamination reduction zone may be established. The exclusion zone may have a suspected contaminant in one or more of its areas. • Publication number: 20040138902
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for making occupational health and safety information available. Occupational health and safety information is provided via a computer system deployed at various locations, e.g., such that the health and safety information may be readily accessed in the event of a material spill, explosion, fire or other life-threatening occurrence. Similarly, any event which may have an adverse impact on the environment would also give rise to a need to access the computer system. In particular, a request for health and safety information is received (300), the system retrieves health and safety information (302). An urgency of the request is determined and selected health and safety information is provided based on the request and the urgency (304).

  • Publication number: 20040015382
Abstract: A method for making data-driven management decisions for use in total resource management including input of decision data and system state data into various evaluation stages. The cost associated with each evaluation stage is calculated and the total costs is determined based on the aggregate of the costs from each evaluation state. • Publication number: 20030182216
Abstract: A method for recovery of resources by retrieving goods with a Postal delivery vehicle after the Postal delivery vehicle has made a delivery. The method also includes taking the retrieved goods to a central facility (104), inspecting the retrieved goods (105), sorting the goods into categorized groups (106), and diverting the categorized goods to carry out processes indicative of each category (107). In another aspect, the invention may include a system for delivering goods to a processing center. The system may comprise a location for depositing goods to be picked recycled, a Postal delivery vehicle has delivered mail, the Postal vehicle picks up goods from the location for depositing goods and delivers the goods to the processing center.
