    Abstract: A system and a method for the isolation from the environment of chemically or biologically contaminated objects are disclosed. The method includes inserting a contaminated object into a disposal container and then contacting the object with one or more reactive agents which react to immobilize and protectively encapsulate the object. The use of reactive agents which are members of room temperature reacting polyurethane foam systems is particularly preferred.
