  • Publication number: 20150343839
Abstract: A decorative, precast, cementitious structure is provided. The structure comprises a cementitious composition comprised of a cement and an aggregate substantially homogeneously distributed through the composition. The structure has a relatively smooth front surface with a micro-textured region engraved by a laser beam having energy which is absorbed by a void-free front surface layer of the structure to at least initiate ablation of the material of the surface layer at a pattern of predetermined locations on the front surface to form the micro-textured region.

  • Patent number: 7506777
Abstract: A plurality of closable and removable containment berm wall supports are preferably each made from three flexible coated fabric layers and preferably each wall support incorporates three reinforcing members and incorporates a closure means that selectively can close the support into a closed triangular frame. Each berm wall support is designed to cooperate with a sleeve attached to a flexible sidewall of a containment berm unit and when the wall support is in a closed condition to hold the sidewall in an erected condition and when the wall support is in an open condition to allow the sidewall to assume a let down condition. The let down condition allows a wheeled vehicle or other object to conveniently transit over the wall for placement on a floor of the containment berm unit within the perimeter established by the sidewall.

  • Patent number: 5195948
Abstract: A back support device is disclosed comprising a belt structure designed to fit substantially around the waist of a user. An inflatable air bladder is attached inside the belt structure so that it is positioned adjacent to the lower back when the back support device is worn. Several embodiments of elastic strap members are disclosed which are attached between the air bladder and belt structure. The strap members enable the user to adjust the direction of force exerted by the air bladder on the lower back and helps to pull the air bladder around the waist. A manual air plump with two-way valve is positioned inside the belt structure near one end which enables the user to selectively adjust the amount of air in the air bladder while the back support device is worn. Using the above device, a method of providing back support is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5148804
Abstract: A device, system, and methods for applying cryotherapy to a joint or body part are disclosed herein. The device comprises an adjustable wrap structure capable of wrapping at least partially around various joints or body parts. Two pockets each having an easily accessible opening manufactured on opposite sides of the wrap structure's central region on the inside surface of the wrap structure in which a cooling vehicle, such as a ice bag or a gel pack, may be inserted. A joint alignment means is manufactured on the in the central region of each device so that the device can be properly aligned and position on the joint or body part. An adjustable device attachment means is included to hold the device in place during use. The system for applying cryotherapy uses the above disclosed device and multiple sets of gel packs each set containing a coolant substance having a different freezing temperature.

  • Patent number: 4312078
Abstract: A motor cyclist's helmet has a visor apertured at either side so that it can pivot on pivots projecting from the helmet. At one side, the aperture in the visor is elongate so that this side of the visor can be pushed forward, the visor being slightly deformed outwardly. A pin projecting from the helmet and received in a slot in the visor then permits the visor to be pivoted upwardly, which the pin and slot prevents when the visor is pushed back against the helmet. The visor can be operated by one hand, with the help of a projecting portion of the visor or a gripping member affixed thereto.
