  • Patent number: 9626950
Abstract: A microphone or instrument sound pickup for various musical instruments and singers is coupled to an amplifier, the output of which is coupled to a speaker system. A microphone is positioned within the output range of the speaker system and is coupled to one input of a comparator circuit. The remaining input of the comparator circuit is coupled to the microphones or pickups. An additive device receives the output signal of the comparator and the originating signal from the microphones or pickups to form a correcting audio signal which is applied to the amplifier. In an alternate embodiment, an adaptive preamplifier is interposed between the originating microphones and audio pickups and the amplifier. The adaptive preamplifier receives the output of the comparator and imposes alteration upon the signal processed through the preamplifier for application to the amplifier.

  • Publication number: 20160240181
Abstract: An audio system for reduction and/or elimination of distortion provides a microphone or instrument sound pick up for the various musical instruments and singers within the performance venue. The sound provided by the microphone or audio pick up is coupled to an amplifier, the output of which is coupled to a speaker system. In accordance with the present invention, a microphone is positioned within the output range of the speaker system and is coupled to one input of a comparator circuit. The remaining input of the comparator circuit is coupled to the microphones or pick ups of the musical instruments and singers. An additive device receives the output signal of the comparator and the originating signal from the microphones or pick ups to form a correcting audio signal which is applied to the amplifier. In an alternate embodiment of the present invention, an adaptive preamplifier is interposed between the originating microphones and audio pick ups and the amplifier.

  • Patent number: 9214141
Abstract: A stand and cradle suitable for resting a bass or cello instrument upon a floor includes an angled base forming a back support and C-bout support upon which a bass or cello may be rested. The base is further supported by a pivotally coupled angled support which maintains the angle of incline of the base. In one embodiment, a pair of generally planar wood members are used to fabricated the base and angled support. In an alternative embodiment, the base is formed of a pair of tubular legs pivotally joined to together with a pivotally secured angle support also formed of a tubular member. In each embodiment, the cradle and base support is foldable to a collapsed configuration for easy storage and transport.
