    Abstract: An apparatus includes a valve coupled to a pressure-containing component of a wellhead assembly. The pressure-containing component can include a hollow body, a bore within the hollow body, and an access passage that is in the hollow body and is in fluid communication with the bore. The valve can include a sealing element that is positioned along the access passage and is selectively moveable between closed and open positions to control fluid flow through the access passage. During operation, the sealing element may be moved between the closed and open positions without actuating the sealing element through an outer end of the access passage. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

    Abstract: A hanger running tool configured to set a hanger assembly within a wellhead includes a rotatable tool configured to couple to the hanger assembly via a first threaded interface having a first orientation. The hanger running tool also includes an outer sleeve coupled to the rotatable tool, and the outer sleeve includes one or more slots configured to engage a drive ring coupled to the hanger assembly via a second threaded interface having a second orientation opposite the first orientation. Rotation of the rotatable tool in a first direction is configured to loosen the rotatable tool from the hanger assembly while causing the one or more slots of the outer sleeve to drive the drive ring in the first direction, thereby tightening the drive ring about the hanger assembly and causing the drive ring to drive a lock ring radially-outwardly to engage a corresponding recess of the wellhead.

    Abstract: Fracturing systems with frac valves having gates for controlling flow of fracturing fluid are provided. In one embodiment, a fracturing apparatus includes a frac valve having a housing with a cavity transverse to a bore. A gate is positioned in the cavity and is movable between open and closed positions to selectively block flow through the bore. The gate includes a seal assembly positioned to seal against a sidewall of the cavity to surround the bore and block flow through the frac valve when the gate is in the closed position. The seal assembly can be actuated between a less-energized state and a more-energized state following movement of the gate within the cavity from the open position to the closed position.
