  • Patent number: 11760140
Abstract: A method for checking the tire pressure of a vehicle (1), which vehicle comprises at least one vehicle wheel (3) and a vehicle body (2) which is supported elastically on the vehicle wheel (3). The wheel includes a tire (7), filled with gas, on which wheel the vehicle stands on a subsurface (8). The vehicle body (2) is loaded with an additional mass and thereby the vehicle body is stimulated into a mechanical oscillation (16) relative to the subsurface (8). A response signal (A), that characterizes the mechanical oscillation (16), is measured and analyzed, whereby at least one response value that characterizes the current gas pressure in the tire is determined.

  • Publication number: 20230141764
Abstract: A method for determining road loads includes preparing a road map (15) that contains information about the local configuration of a plurality of roads. For each of a plurality of vehicles (1) a vehicle location is determined and at least one vehicle location signal (So) that characterizes the location of the vehicle concerned is generated. Using the vehicle location signal (So) and the road map, the vehicles (1) are assigned to the roads. For each vehicle (1) a vehicle load mass is determined and at least one vehicle load mass signal (Sm) that characterizes the vehicle load mass is generated. At least one road loading signal (Sb) that characterizes a road load is generated for each road using the vehicle load mass signals (Sm) of the vehicles (1) assigned to it.

  • Publication number: 20230123958
Abstract: A method of developing a road conditioning monitoring model is disclosed. The method comprises utilizing vehicle sensors to collect data under controlled conditions over a road surface to develop a training data set. The training data set undergoes a data analysis to determine an absolute running mean associated with the first road surface under controlled conditions. Abnormalities in the road surface are detected by comparing the absolute running mean with the training data set. The detected abnormalities are classified to create road surface classification rules. A method of developing a road condition database is also disclosed, that comprises utilizing vehicle sensors during operation of a vehicle to collect data during the operation and feeding the data into the road conditioning monitoring model to classify the road conditions on which the vehicle is driven. A system for determining road condition impact on a vehicle is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20220381603
Abstract: Disclosed is a load detection device and method using the same. In one example, the device includes a height-level measuring unit configured to determine a height level of a vehicle and to generate at least one height-level signal that characterizes the height level. A position-measuring unit is configured to determine the position of the vehicle relative to the mid-point of the earth and to generate at least one position signal that characterizes the vehicle position. An evaluation unit is coupled to the height-level measuring unit and to the position-measuring unit. The evaluation unit is configured to determine a mass of a load of the vehicle, taking into account the height-level signal(s) and the position signal(s). The device can be used to determine the mass of the load, which may include a number of persons.

  • Publication number: 20070185475
Abstract: A system and method for increasing the amplitude of accommodation and/or changing the refractive power of lens material of a natural crystalline lens is provided. Generally, there is provided methods and systems for delivering a laser beam to a lens of an eye in a plurality of sectional patterns results in the shaped structural weakening of the lens. There is also provided a method and system for determining adjustments to refractive errors in the lens of an eye relating to the treatment of presbyopia. The change to refractive error can be a predicted error or an actual error that has been determined.
